Can I see your kitchen?

I am looking to redecorate, my kitchen is very tired. I want something neutral enough or possibly light green. Anyone want to show me their kitchens for ideas? im really bad at this and find googling images just gives me perfect instagram kitchens. Thank you

@TheBookShelf We moved house during lock down and didn't have great access when we were viewing so it came as a good surprise to find out that behind a door in the kitchen was a walk in larder with shelving.

Love the colour of this kitchen cupboards and worktops and flashback. Just wouldn’t have a job within reach of a breakfast bar (especially with children).

Utility and kitchen....

I can't find some of the kitchens people are talking about,yet,I'm sure I have looked at every post. I don't have a draining board,my kitchen is open plan to my living room..I don't want to see a drainer. I have a dishwasher,small, everything else is washed up and put away.. small round sink,so that's unobtrusive as well.

Quite a few of them come up on reverse image search as they’ve been taken from elsewhere on the internet. Take everything with a pinch of salt

You know, with all the huge swanky shiny kitchens around, I love this size and its character and how you've decorated it SO much more!
Gosh if I walked in to this room every morning to make my morning cuppa, I'd feel very happy indeed.
Can I ask about the wallpaper? Do you find wallpaper in a kitchen works ok? I'd really like to paper one wall but have wondered if it would be practical in terms of all the steam from cooking and weird drip marks that seem to appear on kitchen walls!

Ah thank you so much ☺️ It’s an induction hob which is great as it’s only hot when the pots are on, my dc are 10 and 12 so past that stage but I can see the hesitation.

Now I want to reverse image search but I’m too lazy 🤣🤣

I like this colour, it definitely has a brightening effect without actually being green or yellow.

Mine is also open plan, but the sink end is slightly hidden by a short wall. I have a big sink so I can hide things in there to drain

This is ours after our recent extension. The island is a much softer terracotta than it looks here and I was too excited to take the shiny cover off before I stated taking photos 😂
Our last kitchen was black and I loved it but when I was doing this one I thought dark would be too oppressive and I love this now too.

I like the terracotta, you're right, black would be very oppressive in that kitchen.
