To think Farage surely has to go

So Farage has some dodgy private company set up to avoid paying tax. Is he being pressured to resign as head of Reform? Of course not. Because he’s an entitled privileged man.

The double standards are incredible really. Here’s the story https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2025/sep/05/nigel-farage-uses-private-company-to-pay-less-tax-on-gb-news-earnings

While I think Rayner had to resign, why are the same standards not being applied?

Exclusive: Reform leader’s use of personal services firm is a practice criticised across the political spectrum

So you have Einstein-level intelligence? Sure.

I think only have 5 MPs is pretty significant, I mean it's quite the challenge don't you think...

Going from 5 MPs to in power would be unprecedented in politics here but voting intention show it could be done now, after 14 months of Labour.

Equally, Einstein's level of intelligence is completely irrelevant to the discussion whereas the challenges of 5 Reform MPs is not.

Yes, it would certainly be 'unprecedented'.

Of course. We’ve have the same two major parties for decades. In FPTP it’s incredibly hard to get past that.

Voting intention shows they would atm though.

No, I know, they were questioning my intelligence and pointing out my irrelevant point, I think Einstein is more irrelevant.

The only place he's going, is to
Number 10. Get used to it.

They belittle those 5 seats - at their peril.

What are Reform policies, what are we voting for? All I hear from them is what they aren't going to do i.e. what the government does, what is their plan? They seem very good at criticising but completely lack answers and substance.

Similar to Labour before getting in.

On number of MPs that’s much less an indication than voting intention now. The shift in 14 months is a lot but Labour are good at alienating people.

Tice - the putative chancellor if Reform comes to power - told Ed Balls this morning he’s not a tax expert. God help us.

ReplacementBusService · 08/09/2025 11:50

Look! Look! Look over there at all those nasty immigrants coming over here on small boats and messing up the country for proud British people. Why are you worrying about a good British politicians tax arrangements when all those lot are coming here to rape our women and steal our jobs and force us to live under sharia law.

Shit, I might have sounded convincing there. Maybe I can get a job at GB News.

Beyond a joke and I see no one has been able to answer my post (yesterday)about leaving the EHCR and the impact on the economy; just shortsighted codswallop about a right to buy an education!

Ha! You can be a candidate. How's your maths? Got a calculator? You can be Chancellor, best on offer so far.

Those are last years.

rriffraff · 08/09/2025 12:00

I don't think it matters in a way, if Farage was removed someone else, Rupert Lowe or another politician would take that role, because there is a voting block for it. It seems as though what he did was legal wheras Rayner there is questions-

The problem with Angela Raynor is that it has been reported that she inflated the value of her house, it was valued at 650,000 , av 561,000 in the area.
(Telegraph -why is Angela Rayner's house much more expensive than her neighbours?) this meant that she could extract more money from her son's trust fund for her deposit for a flat in Hove, based on the inflated valuation, so when the house is eventually sold, it will not realise that value and so the son is left out of pocket. It is not benificial for the son, he risks getting less back.

Yes, your 'freedom' is the freedom from not being vilified for vulgarly denigrating those that don't agree with you!

So Reform is going to just resurrect its 2024 policies and reuse them for the next election? Is that right?
