MIL bathing habits

My in laws come to stay with us pretty frequently and I've noticed over time that mil never bathes when she comes. She can be here 3-4 days without a shower or bath. It recently was revealed that she only ever uses baths and no soap in her bath. This came up after she bagged my DD and didn't use any soap on her and she said well there was bubble bath in the water, I was shocked as I don't think that's a proper way to bathe and she said when she bathes she doesn't use soap and only bubble bath. So not only does she not bathe for days on and but when she bathes she just has a bubble bath and no soap.im really grossed out.

Given I've not used any of those words, I'm not sure why my attitude stinks. You seem to be tarring everyone who washes everyday with the same brush. I've said it's polite to be fresh and clean and not wait until you can smell yourself to wash. I haven't called anyone gross.

I still haven't had a single poster who insists they don't smell despite only washing once or twice a week tell me how they know that!

I have never been fond of actual 'baths' much preferring to be able to wash body and hair all in one go but now I have serious arthritus and other health issues which make even showering a huge effort for me these days so I only put myself through it once a week and most days will wash and also use various body wipes, lotions and deodorants to ensure that I am fresh and clean smelling so as not to offend anyone!!
OP how do you know that your MIL does not do the same and it's none of your business anyway...if she doesn't have BO what's the problem?
The modern obsession with constant showering etc is simply unsustainable and unnecessary and your perception of 'gross' is laughable and actually quite offensive to many people. 🙄
