Husband has extreme right wing views

Not sure if this is the right place to post as it's not an AIBU but more of I think my husband is being and I'm not sure what to do about it.

He's getting caught up in some quite extreme right wing views in regards to migrants. Complains about how they're coming in, being housed in hotels, paid allowances etc. with no checks and how crime rates such as rape are now ten fold etc. He thinks Trump is great 😪 He's very intelligent so I'm not sure how he's managed to get caught up in this extremist view point.

My ex was like this the last straw was when he told us a joke. Something about getting a text and winning a baby P. His brother and wife were there at the time they were as disgusted as I was and saw for themselves what I had to put up with.

You know nothing of the people "rioting" (see also; peacefully protesting). The statistic you're referencing is people arrested. People behaving in such ways to get themselves arrested aren't representative of the overwhelming majority of protesters who were not arrested. You're either mistaken or you're lying, I suppose it doesn't really matter which is true.

Throw away an otherwise happy marriage and deprive the kids of a family unit because husband is concerned about illegal immigration? Many people feel this way at present. They are not 'extremists'. They have valid concerns. Anyone would think the man had got a swastika tattooed on his forehead. It is not abnormal to have differing views within a marriage, and there should be mutual respect and curiosity as to the 'why', not condemnation and shaming. Please have some balance and ignore these disproportionate responses. They are intolerant and create far more division than expressing concerns about illegal immigration.

Well I am Asian.
I know the vast majority of sexual
abuse is done by men that close to the children, mostly by family members.
I also know that if an uncle was accused of being a peado the whole family would be tarred with the same brush, everyone in the family will be ostracised.
There will be a explicit effort to brush these under the rug, and the girl and her immediate family will be pressured into remaining quiet.

While OP's husband may not hold these views himself, many of the groups associated with Trump DO recommend a return to strict traditional gender roles; wives' subservience and 'surrender' to husbands; males being tough guys with the right to 'grab women's pussies'; etc. At the extreme, the 'incels' and supporters of the likes of Andrew Tate

That may well be the case but the facts remain that the overwhelming majority of child sexual abuse in the UK is committed by White men, usually within families too.

They wouldn't need to "catch up" to be equally represented or over represented. And we know with absolute certainty that there was wilful and deliberate suppression of the truth in the data that you're referencing, spanning decades.

Those things are not “extreme” right wing views on their own. They’re lukewarm views reflected heavily in the media right now. “Extreme” right would be if he thought all non white people in the UK should be evicted, revoking women’s right to vote, we should reintroduce the death penalty, enforcement of a strong religious aspect to modern life, and such things. Disliking illegal immigrants and liking Trump might be distasteful, but I think it’s equally distasteful to consider that to be even scratching the surface of what truly extreme people believe because believe me it’s far worse.

As I said, believe that if you want to engage in race wars as opposed to looking at the bigger picture and the real issues women and children in this country face from ALL types of men.

Actually the stats point to native British men being the offenders in a higher proportion than their proportion of the actual population

The concern is not ‘all about immigrants’, but can you not see the issues with bringing in men from countries where they are not used to women being treated as human beings?

People who want our borders back under control are not only concerned concerned about immigrants raping us though - there’s all sorts of problems with uncontrolled migration, like terrorism or our lack of infrastructure to support infinite population increases.

How many people complain about the current strain on the NHS, or the education system? Or roads? More people = more demand for housing, medical care etc.

I suggest you read up on the Rotherham and other Pakistani grooming gangs scandals and get back to us on that.
