For thinking that the migrant protests ...

Ihateboris · 23/08/2025 12:35

Should be held at the council offices, Government departments, rather than the migrant hotels? After all, it's due to the government's lack of processing that the migrants are there?

Total hypocrisy as many of the protestors are paedophiles, rapists and wife beaters themselves. So, what they're actually saying is "we can beat and rape, but you can't?"

Evidence? Somewhat of a sweeping generalisation?

MsJinks · 24/08/2025 12:51

We can’t have a referendum on immigration jeez 🙈 - and if we could it would end up like brexit - one voter just wants asylum seekers stopped, one wants illegal migration stopped, one wants less legal migration but only for study say. And nearly all of these ‘stops’, even individually would trash the U.K. - universities closed or no one to care for old/disabled, economy worsened.
I say on nearly every single thread that migration is not going to stop - it’s just absolutely not - humans have always migrated, always, and I think this will only increase in the coming decades with war/climate events etc. I would like a global response - stop bombing the sh’t out of other countries, more aid, humane and collaborative response to immigrants in liveable countries. Obviously, that wont happen but we have to accept the fact, (learn the difference between legal, illegal migration and refugees), understand reasons for migration and facts about it, not fictional all want to come to the U.K. kind btw, ,and decide how it can be best handled - and as I am fortunate enough to be a citizen of a liveable country I am happy to share that, even if it impacts on my own living standard - though I recognise not everyone would agree with that last point. Also be honest from the other side - how far will we go to stop migration - no mealy mouthed ‘I’m not racist but just that asylum seeker is a potential problem’, ‘it’s the Iranian culture that’s an issue’ - who do you want to go and exactly how are you going to achieve it?
We enjoyed the rights of the world - initially invading/ruling colonies, recently enjoying goods from elsewhere and travelling, and to my mind we should also accept the responsibilities of this. Alternatively we can close down, not let anyone ‘in’, make choices about how we remove any/all migrants, and rely on our own resources - this would be a harder life too though, don’t be deluded it would improve. Though for the small number of folk further up the chain stirring the pot then they will always get the cash - let’s be honest.
Some may say there’s a middle ground - well no one is ever going to agree on what that is - and not enough are honest about what they’d accept.
Personally, if we can’t be humane to other humans I think it’s going to be a nasty downwards spiral of all society - saddening.

It wasn’t presented as an example. Societal values are considerably wider than that. I’m very happy that I don’t share the values of a lot of you on these threads, despite us all coming from the same culture.

You can buy lifejackets on Amazon.

And the chandlery at the boatyard a few miles from me sells inflatable boats and outboards, so I'd guess it's similar at French chandleries and yards. An inflatable would fit in a standard size garage, so renting a lock up would be fine for storage.

But they’re not buying just one inflatable, they must be buying them in bulk surely, unless it’s such a huge operation that they have multiple individuals with multiple lock ups?

Ha ha, nobody is saying stopping immigration. They’re saying control it. It absolutely is possible (?) and society will continue to degenerate until it happens.

SueSuddio · 24/08/2025 12:58

Genuine question as I want to learn more, there's already a law to say to claim asylum in the country closest to you.

So why are migrants making a huge journey to the UK via plenty of closer countries?

I think there's hard truths on either side. I don't like either side by the way. The horrible people that go to these protests and the ultra left who brand everyone a racist.

For a start it’s not a sweeping generalisation, it didn’t say all. And of all the protesters arrested by one police force last year 68% had been the subject of domestic violence reports - let that sink in, more than two thirds.

You can ask Google ‘why do people think you must claim asylum in the nearest country’ and you will get explanations from many reutable sources.

There is no legal duty or obligation on the asylum seeker to claim and remain in the first safe country, and an asylum seeker who moves on is not breaking the law by doing so or disqualifying themselves from refugee status.

Weird, that they don’t though isn’t it. Weird that they don’t claim asylum in the first or even second safe country they find.

I do often wonder why hundreds of thousands of people travel across several countries to come to the UK.

It’s puzzle. 🧐

I am not racist, I'm merely pointing out that many of the white protesters who say they're protesting because the migrants are rapists, are also rapists and paedophile. An op has linked an official source upthread,so perhaps try reading the entire thread before calling me racist. Thank you

The countries from which people claim asylum in the UK are for the most part former colonies or former or current Commonwealth countries.

Many already have decent English, having learnt it at school. They also learnt in school to regard the UK as the Promised Land. They may have family here already.

If you have a genuine asylum claim, why would you not try to make it in the place offering you the best chance for a decent life?
Much of Britain’s economic foundation was built on the backs and the blood of these people’s ancestors. The UK would not be so desirable without those foundations. It’s turnabout.

Again, you are conflating figures from last year's violent riots with this year's largely peaceful protests. They are two separate events, and will likely have two separate demographics.

These MEN are not asylum seekers.

They are all fighting age men. If their country of origin was so dangerous, they would have brought along their grandmothers, grandfathers, fathers, mothers, sisters, wives and their children (if they have any).

Honestly, ask yourself, what YOUR husband would do, if the UK was a hotbed of danger? Would he flee to a safe country and leave you and your children behind? Would he leave his Mum behind? Would he leave his sister behind? Or would he stay to protect his family? I think we all know he wouldn't just fuck off into the sunset and leave us to die.

These men are not fleeing danger. They are, at best, wanting to be here for a better life, at the UK tax payers expense (£6M per day btw), and at worst, well, you just don't know do you? Sleeper cells? You can't rule it out, however far fetched you might think.

Do you know, that in some areas where there are migrant hotels, that rape has increased by 800%? And some people on this thread think that's okay because some British men are rapists anyway? What kind of stupidity is that?

Do you think that Iran would accept hundreds of thousands of British men, and pay for them to live in 5* hotels? OF COURSE they wouldn't.

Anyone watching hundreds of YOUNG MEN checking into hotels, with no women in sight, should be utterly shitting themselves, not thinking "aw bless them".

Some people are so naive!!
