Like this?

I went today without really realising how bad they were until I got there. I live by a beach, not on holidays and just rushed there after work
Now i’m looking at them like 😮
I feel like no one I know would do this

I would not but women should not feel bad for having hairy legs in public.

Yeah probably would if I was dying for a quick swim and not intending to lie around for hours

Nevereatcardboard · 17/08/2025 21:17

Yes, but I haven’t shaved my legs or armpits in many years. I’m old and I can’t bend down to even see the hair let alone remove it!

Spicyprawnsitisthen · 17/08/2025 17:23

Even with having Dh there..I just don’t seem to care that much anymore 🙈same as a pp, a few years back I would never have…not sure if it’s a good or bad thing

I think it’s a good thing. hones Life is too short to worry about this stuff! Go, enjoy the beach and the sea

Years ago I wouldn’t have but now? Couldn’t give a shit 🤷‍♀️

Get a grip

Ultravox · 17/08/2025 21:19

I probably wouldn’t but I wouldn’t look twice and someone who did.

MatriarchCaz · 17/08/2025 21:20

Yes I would and have.

Pinkfreedom · 17/08/2025 21:21

As a regular pool swimmer it seems that men don't care about their hairy backs so why should a teeny bit of leg hair on a woman he an issue.
If anyone was close enough to see your legs then they need to back off.

DuckCootLoon · 17/08/2025 21:24

No I wouldn't, but I wouldn't care (or probably even notice) if anyone else did.
It's interesting to hear that younger women no longer feel pressure to have hairless legs.

TheGoldoffEternal · 17/08/2025 21:25

I went recently to a very busy beach , it was packed. I don't think anyone stared at me at all. There is not much to be seen if someone looks at me, so ....

Sennelier1 · 17/08/2025 21:28

I hardly have to shave my legs anymore - an unexpected advantage of menopause! But I once went to shave during my grandson's nap, since I discovered a few unsighly hairs on my legs while sitting on the floor and playing with the little one 😜

RedRoss86 · 17/08/2025 21:28

Personally I wouldn't as I shave daily but it wouldn't bother me in the slightest someone having hairy legs, pits etc.
I probably wouldn't even notice and if I did, I wouldn't care.

godmum56 · 17/08/2025 21:41

Spicyprawnsitisthen · 17/08/2025 17:27

That seems so much like hard work
I do much prefer having halr free legs though-for myself..think i’m getting lazy

someone on another thread reccomended this and its da bomb. A quick whizz over and while not hairless you'd have to look bloody close! https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0F5W9QK53?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

TearsForFears25 · 17/08/2025 21:41

Absolutely, and go lots of places with hair a bit longer! You’re fine @Spicyprawnsitisthen, hair is hair :)

Wolfpinkola · 17/08/2025 21:47

Yes I would, it’s their problem not yours 😅

Would a man? Would a man have hairy legs? Why the fuck do you think you can't have hairy legs? Why are your legs 'bad'? Get a grip woman. You have been completely brainwashed into hating your own body. Woman up!

Miriabelle · 17/08/2025 21:49

Who cares about normal leg hair? The vast vast majority of people won’t notice and anyone who does may well think good for her. It’s nobody else’s business what you do with your own body hair!

@Suziesuesue you may want to ask MN to move your post to its own thread.

DiscoBob · 17/08/2025 21:51

I very rarely go to the beach so would probably run the epilady over them or a quick shave from knees down. But I wouldn't think it was awful if someone has hairy legs.

hottogo80 · 17/08/2025 21:51

Nobody will notice and if they do they won’t care. I spent years agonising over my beach/pool bod. Now I’m pushing 40 I know I need to lose weight but it’s for my health not for the opinions of strangers. Who like I said, won’t notice or care.

POTC · 17/08/2025 21:52

Of course I would, it's perfectly natural and no one else's business!

AlexisP90 · 17/08/2025 21:55

DeirdreChambersWhatACoincidence · 17/08/2025 17:19

Yes. I've just been round two parks and sat beside a sandpit with legs much the same. I even had a nice chat with a younger man who was watching his son and he didn't faint or anything.

This made me laugh.

Would definitely go to the beach like that. Honestly none even cares. Body hair is even quite trendy (so im told. Im pushing 40 wouldn't know fashion of it hit me in the face)

EarringsandLipstick · 17/08/2025 17:36

I wouldn’t. I shave every day & would hate to either have hairy or stubbly legs.

But that’s just me, answering the question you asked.

Would I care that someone else hadn’t shaved or had hairy legs? Not at all, personal choice & none of my business.

Me too, literally takes two mins in the shower.
