Like this?

I went today without really realising how bad they were until I got there. I live by a beach, not on holidays and just rushed there after work
Now i’m looking at them like 😮
I feel like no one I know would do this

Yes, and I do regularly. I think times are changing. My leg hair is blonde but I don't shave it and I'm a regular swimmer and I cant say I've I've noticed anyone else noticing, I couldn't tell you what anyone else's legs look like either. Of course it's a good thing, not only does it save time and money for more important things, there's no spikes, my legs are soft

LizzyEm · 17/08/2025 17:29

I wouldn't let mine get like that in the first place. I've let my shaving standards slip but I still do it once a week.

Flomingho · 17/08/2025 17:29

Seen far hairier legs than this on beaches and in swimming pools. Don't worry about it.

Longnightmoon · 17/08/2025 17:30

Spicyprawnsitisthen · 17/08/2025 17:28

Do you mean mine don’t? Probably misunderstanding 😅

No, you asked, would I go to the beach with legs that look like this, then should a pair of perfectly normal women's legs. So I said yes, I go anywhere and everywhere with legs that look like perfectly normal woman's legs

Not a chance sorry.

PosiePerkinPootleFlump · 17/08/2025 17:31

I would and, having also been to the beach today, I did

330ml · 17/08/2025 17:31

I probably would, but my hair is blonde so they don’t show so much.

However, my legs usually look like woman’s legs…. a woman who shaves her legs, legs.

Once a week? 52 times a year? over how many years? have you ever added up all the wasted time that represents!? How awful that anyone feels this is necessary. It isn't a "standard"-it is a tyranny.

Except every man you know would do exactly that without thinking twice.

These days women are allowed that freedom. If you want to leave them hairy so be it.

Ive always had bare thighs but going through menopause has given me a big patch on the left thigh. Like hell am i removing it, I'm using it for warmth.

Ive got one single neck hair. It's genuinely massive. I can't resist pulling it out because it's astonishing how deeply anchored it is. It doesn't feel bristly like a man's neck hair but it must surely have the same staying power. I'm looking forwards to it growing back at the moment to have the sheer fascinating of doing a tug of war with it again. It really hurts!

If anyone knows a man who will let me pull out a neck hair to test my theory, I'd be grateful. No way DH is going to let me at his.

K0OLA1D · 17/08/2025 17:33

Yep. Been to a football tournament today sporting legs just as hairy.

WonderingWanda · 17/08/2025 17:35

Yes, I regularly notice my leg hair has reach proportions I wouldn't have dreamed of leaving the house with these days. Combination of being totally overwhelmed with doing everything for bloody everyone else and just feeling more comfortable in my own skin and no longer needing to perform for others so to speak!

pastapestoparmesan · 17/08/2025 17:35

I go everywhere with legs that hairy.

EarringsandLipstick · 17/08/2025 17:36

I wouldn’t. I shave every day & would hate to either have hairy or stubbly legs.

But that’s just me, answering the question you asked.

Would I care that someone else hadn’t shaved or had hairy legs? Not at all, personal choice & none of my business.

Mistyglade · 17/08/2025 17:38

Nah, who cares, mine were like that the other day at the seaside! Least of my worries!

EnjoythemoneyJane · 17/08/2025 17:39

Spicyprawnsitisthen · 17/08/2025 17:23

Even with having Dh there..I just don’t seem to care that much anymore 🙈same as a pp, a few years back I would never have…not sure if it’s a good or bad thing

‘Not caring anymore’ is 100% fine - because what are you not caring about? A weird societal diktat that women should have no body hair? The judgement of fkn idiots who believe women who don’t spend every minute plucking and harvesting and moisturising are lazy or unattractive or ‘not trying hard enough’?

The only thing that matters is whether you feel comfortable. And if you don’t, you need to think about why you don’t, and either decide to be bikini-ready all summer long, or cultivate a zero-shits-given attitude and just live your life (second option highly recommended 😂).

Your legs look totally fine btw!

Mine don’t look like women’s? 😔

Zapx · 17/08/2025 17:41

Personally, no. But then I shave most days. Personal preference.

Would I care about anyone else? No! If I happened to notice (extremely unlikely) I wouldn’t bat an eyelid. Go for it 😃

Blisterinthe · 17/08/2025 17:41

I normally shave my legs at least once a week, however sometimes I don’t. I’ve learnt to not let hairy legs stop me from enjoying swimming pools, the beach or shorts for that matter. So yes I would, and I wouldn’t even think about it.

It takes seconds.

And it's not tyranny if I don't like my legs to be ultra hairy 🫥

herbalteabag · 17/08/2025 17:43

I have been at the beach before and realised I'd missed large areas! No one will notice anyway so it doesn't matter.

periglpfan · 17/08/2025 17:44

I wouldn’t plan to do this but if an impromptu trip occurred or I forgot and was just with my own household family I would not care. If I was going with other family or friends I would care a bit but depending on which ones I would still do it! However I would not post them on the internet, even anon 😂 glad you didn’t let it stop you enjoying a lovely day at the beach!

GiantMoa · 17/08/2025 17:44

Wouldn't bother me at all.

Octavia64 · 17/08/2025 17:45

Yes

I do wild swimming and go to the beach in all weathers and all seasons and I’m not keeping my legs shaved all year round.

fuck em
