To be sick of the royal propaganda the UK is fed?

I know most people don’t give a damn about the Windsors any more .

However , in a week when we learn about Philip’s affairs - notably with Sarah Ferguson’s mother ( all covered up of course like the rest of their debachery) we are now expected to swallow the line that William and Kate’s next mansion is ‘paid for by William and Kate themselves ‘

No . That’s not the complete truth .Every penny the Windsors have , they have taken from the people . We now know William and Charles make millions from public services like the NHS schools and charities . We only know about this as a result of dogged journalistic digging . And most of the mainstream media barely covered the scandal .

There are many threads here about how the UK is in steep decline and how people are suffering . Yet the royals are taking in half a billion a year and charging charities on top !

At least admit to us that all their money is stolen from us ?

Oh and if you haven’t heard the queen knew all about Andrew pocketing money via ‘pitch at the palace’

She was told repeatedly by officials . She did nothing
Can we have some facts please ?
The Windsors are a total facade - they are all like Andrew - he’s just the latest fall guy .

When they all turnout in milliary uniforms with their eleventy billion medals on special occasions
It makes me laugh that' the only two members of the royal family who have actually seem active service are not allowed to wear their uniforms
But the rest of them swan around in them pathetic.

I know . It is ridiculous

Lampzade · 21/08/2025 15:24

I honestly don’t understand why W&K didn’t turn up for the VJ commemorations .
The optics were not good
Who the hell is advising them ?

I find the RF obscene. The PR is nauseating. Everything from what K wears, her piano playing, photos etc is just cringeworthy - literally all bollocks but wrapped up in glittery paper. I hate how the media talk about W&K versus H&M - literally do the same thing, yet interpreted completely differently. I also lauged at the assertion W&K were using there own dosh to do up there mansion - there own dosh! Its money made from centuries of robbery and then making billions from it all. Yup - they are the ultimate work dodgers but posh.

The top comments on the DM on any article about W&K always go along the lines of:

'Would much rather my taxes went to this lovely family rather than foreign criminals'

'I'm sure that Catherine will make it into a lovely family home'

It's pathetic.

Yes because of course it will be Catherine doing the decorating, and cooking and cleaning it is pathetic.

So Andrew Lownie’s book about Andrew ( ‘Entitled’) states that the queen was repeatedly told about Andrew’s abuses over the decades .
Was it 40 boys and women brought to his room in Thailand ? Was that trip on the taxpayer’s dime ?
Andrew , unintelligent abusive Andrew , was paid hundreds of thousands as a ‘civil servant’ and all the papers are sealed . Why? We have a right to know if offences have occurred .

Other financial abuses were highlighted to Elizabeth Windsor .
She did nothing . His abusive behaviour was highlighted to her . She did nothing

It took Virginia Giuffre to start legal action and - here’s where the propaganda comes in - we are told poor old Elizabeth was clueless and shocked . She made a few token gestures, removing his ridiculous made up military titles but made sure she had him photographed with her .
Disgusting family .

That doesn't surprise me I imagine there's a lot more covered up that we mere mortals don't know about ,the little people don't need to know.

But despite all this, there are still the staunch Royalists who continue to cowtow to this bunch of law breaking, immoral leaches. It truly baffles me!

Ukisgaslit · 23/08/2025 14:02

I agree and of course I suspect a great deal more covered up but I clearly remember a line being spun to us all of Elizabeth being ‘blind sided ‘ ‘upset’ ‘unaware’

She was fully aware

She didn’t give a damn .

I knew she didn’t give a damn when I saw that she made sure to be photographed with Andrew beside her several times
But that she knew for decades and did nothing!

Thats propaganda

And if that was Elizabeth, supposedly the best of them , what are the current lot hiding ?

She only gave a damn when she thought it might be damaging to her family
She didn't give a damn about the women who had Bern trafficked.

I think they are mostly older people who cling to what they knew all their life and who believe what they are told without question
But yes still baffling .
Where are their morals?

It’s another group that I wonder about . They say they support a ‘constitutional monarchy’ whatever they think that is!
Its not the situation we have with the monarchy in the uk. Our monarchs still have coronations and are free to ignore any law they don’t like -they are above the law . Nothing constitutional about it

Its wishful thinking

@x2boys

None of them give a damn about the ‘little people ‘ - which must explain in some part the sex abuse, the rages towards staff, the charging of charities they are so called patron of etc etc
They see people as lesser and to be used by them by right

@Ukisgaslit I'm older. My Grandmother liked the Royals a little. The odd glimpse of them on the front of a paper. As a dressmaker , she admired their clothes. A very very tiny bit of that filtered into me.

No more, embarassing the whole sorry charade.
For what it's worth I think most of them are seriously ill one way or another.

We don't even have a constitution. Because no respective obligations are pinned down and there is so little transparency, the RF are free to abuse their privileges. Which they do, all the time.

I understand that many may take the monarchy for granted because it is all they have ever experienced; but the obliviousness to how corrupt the RF are is what baffles me. Just 2 recent examples: when it emerged that they profit directly from public institutions and services, including several charities they purport to serve through their 'work'. And - when we were faced with the spectacle of our then Head of State - QE - paying off the accuser of her son to avoid allegations of sex abuse from the US. The optics of that were just terrible and shaming.

It's disgusting. I was listening to LBC earlier regarding certain types of cancer treatment not being available on the NHS, and there was a caller on saying that the hospital basically told her to crowdfund to raise £70k for her life saving treatment. Absolutely bloody unacceptable when we are funding this bunch of freeloaders. I'd prefer my tax money to go to that lady than these posh twats.

I should clarify - I was referring to professed royalists . I think we safely presume that the vast majority of royalists are 65+ - and no that will not change as today’s young people grow older

There are of course many life long anti monarchists and I admire them greatly . It was much harder to be a republican decades ago I imagine

@Futurehappiness

Thank you .

I realise we don’t have a constitution-or rather what we have is a cobbled together mix of legal precedent and ‘tradition’

I don’t believe in this so called ‘tradition’ . The victorians debated the royals more than we do . I’ve seen too much done by the Windsors and hidden - aided by ‘deference and tradition’
If anything , as more of the Windsors’ behaviour is revealed ( decades later of course) debate is more limited . Now why would that be ?

Doctors perhaps?

What medical condition is supposed to be stopping William?
Or means that you can attend the Wimbledon Men's Final but not a church service?

AuxArmesCitoyens · 23/08/2025 17:23

TBH I wouldn't be surprised if William were suffering from poor mental health. It's one of the reasons why I think royalists are verging on cruelty, forcing the people in the gilded cage to keep up the myth whatever the cost.

Serpentstooth · 23/08/2025 18:34

Agreed. His father has/had cancer, his wife, mother to their 3? 4? kids has/had cancer, his brother has run out on him and is taking potshots from the sidelines, his uncle is the embarassing uncle who won't go away. Any other man would have MN sobbing about his 'burden'. I really wish they'd pension off the lot of them and just wheel them out for the picturesque ceremonials a few times a year but otherwise leave them alone. It must be a lonely life, horrible, especially when the public and media believe they own you and you should act at their command. Awful.

wimonnzy · 23/08/2025 18:57

They have a choice though. Just like Harry, get out and leave the lot of them to it. He is the only one of them I have any time for, despite all the vitriol thrown at him. He said no. Despite all his failings and immaturity and all the rest of it, he had the courage of his convictions. He is relatively free to do whatever he wants now.

And I am well aware that the above statement will be rebutted ad infinitum with examples of his failings, his wife's failings, his pouting, his this and his that. I will wait for it! The rest of them are similar anyway but are clinging on for dear life, cushioned by a compliant media who tell us what they want us to think about them, which I suspect is miles far from the truth of their lives.

The rest of them could relinquish their current and future titles. But they won't, and I am certain that it's not out of a sense of duty like the late Queen, who like her or not, commanded respect most of the time. No, it is giving up the status, the money, the assets, the connections. Freeloaders in other words.

I also think that every potential monarch in the line of succession should have psychometric testing just like other professions do such as doctors, to see if they are suited to the job. If not, here's your pension, and Next!

Ukisgaslit · 23/08/2025 19:07

Thats true . They can leave .
The fact is , the relative whose ascension to the throne has resulted in the current lot’s life of unearned luxury was 56th in line for the throne .
56th!
So I’m sure if they really wanted to they could find the next candidate if William took his family out of the running ( which he is doing in effect - he has quietly quit but still wants paid)

The Waleses are hardly ever photographed outside of engagements and have never been hard workers (going back to 2011), yet their popularity has always been high and press is overwhelmingly positive. I don't think they consider their lives horrible and lonely.

Ukisgaslit · 23/08/2025 19:09

There is little proof that William and Kate are popular

We are TOLD they are - hence my title re propaganda
Can we all simply be asked ?
