To think that the USA is a dictatorship now?

Trump appears to have ultimate power. Who can challenge him? Who controls him? Presidents should not be dictating what drug companies charge for medicines on a whim, or indeed any other goods, at the drop of a hat. He says jump and the US says "How High?" What on earth have you done to yourselves and the world to let this evil, thick, orange toddler clown represent you? What the hell were you thinking?

I live in the US and its not a dictatorship. Many of us are quite happy with Trump. The UK elected Starmer who is the most incompetent and worthless PM in my lifetime. You should be worrying more about your loss of freedom of speech and civil liberties, the two-tier justice system you have, the crumbling NHS and the overwhelming increase in crime rate and unfettered illegal immigration. I no longer recognize the UK when I go back and definitely do not feel safe. But yes, by all means, have a superior smug dig at Trump and those that voted for him.

Why do they care. They don't live in the US. Great post

I mean, I’m not the biggest Starmer fan, but I think you’ve gone too far… I’m sure you’re old enough to have been alive for the Truss days!

'His ass belongs to Russia yet the so called Russiagate has been proven to be a hoax by the democrats.'

Did you see the interview where Putin confirmed Russian involvement in the US election? The interview that was tampered with by the White House, removing that nugget?

Edit - spag

Great thread OP. I love that while you furiously denounce Trump for being a fascist ending democracy, what has actually really got you riled up is ...the price of your weight loss jabs going up.

Sums up our "progressive" liberal left in their solipsistic complacency.

It's just one example, I could pick many. It's something that affects me. This is something that affects millions of people far worse than me because of a frivolous decision, and a great example of how Trump coughs and a massive powerful pharmaceutical company jumps. If you can't see that as a microcosm and a good deal more than solipsism then you need to take your head from up your arse.

And I hardly ever start threads. I can start one about what the hell I like without your permission, and I don't need to check off a list of every other thing Trump has done before commenting on this issue.

It was implied when you praised him for getting things done, but if I misconstrued that I apologize. To clarify, are you now saying you do not personally support or approve of Trump and his administration?

You did misconstrue my meaning, but I accept the apology.

‘Are you now saying’ implies I’m changing my position - which I’m not. What difference does it make whether I personally support or approve of him? I’m not an American. My late husband was - I’ve lived there - who cares what I personally think?

Why do they care. They don't live in the US. Great post

Because everyone should be interested in world politics. Because how other countries behave affects us all. Because America is influential. Because we should care about the citizens of other countries.

Because just because things aren’t good in the U.K. doesn’t negate the bad things in America. That posters argument is a stupid and baseless one. Of course we should all care. All the time. It’s not a great post at all.

I was told a few days ago by someone who was travelling to Washington soon that they check your phone as you enter the country to see if you have any anti- Trump stuff on your social media. If you do they can and will refuse entry. So they are going to set themselves up with a completely blank phone. I was 😮

Well, I have just got back from the US and that really did not happen! I went through customs to enter the US without any questions about my phone, just the usual checks of passport and ESTA. The customs guy was very pleasant and had a very dry humour which made us laugh. No issues at all coming home either.

So you’re not going to acknowledge all the statistics etc then?

You’ve ignored everything that anyone, including myself, has said to you if you can’t froth at it. Anything balanced or factual that anyone has responded to you you have absolutely ignored.

It amuses me when people shout loudly and think it covers the fact they are actually saying absolutely nothing, no coherent arguments, avoiding anyone who actually provides information and ignores direct questions. We can still see your empty arguments.

Anyway, it’s bed time for me, good night.

Again what is dictatorial about it?

Pharmaceutical companies charge Americans way more than people in other countries and he is forcing them to stop ripping up Americans yet you are upset that it is dictatorial because you have to pay more 😂

How is it a frivolous decision? A decision aimed at stopping millions of Americans being ripped off and treated unfairly is frivolous 😂what a joker.

I wonder you manage to make it through the day, all the caring and worrying you have to do on other people’s behalf. And not just a little bit - all the time! I hope you spend just as much time worrying about people in North Korea. And Sudan. What about European countries, we must worry about them too, we can’t leave them out… France and Spain and Denmark and Italy. No other competent adults in the world who can govern their own affairs without you worrying about them or thinking you know best… very stressful for you.

Anyone who is legal has no issues and ICE is not picking people off the streets despite what Reddit tells you. Their raids are targeted similar to how the Home Office target and deport illegal immigrants even through I don’t see any outrage.

This is a video released by the UK Home Office recently showing the arrest of illegal immigrants, I guess people of colour are scared to go out in the UK now.

Yes I repeat it’s bullshit lies claiming immigrants are scared to go out except in liberal cities in California where they encourage illegal immigrants with their sanctuary city policies.

Do you mean the same persecuted gay folks who might lose the right to legal marriage in America and as a result may face more persecution again?

Trump is not worried about same sex marriage.

FatSamsGrandSlamSpeakEasy · 16/08/2025 00:07

How are you this comfortable publicly admitting you’re an idiot?! 😂

Do you not stay up to date on world affairs? Don’t you ever learn about the politics and history of other countries? Are you that thick that you can’t keep up to date with multiple countries around the world at the same time?

What a small life you must have. Some of us actually do take an interest in world politics, including developing and developed countries, countries nearby and not so close. Of course here in the U.K. many people keep up to date with Europe! I’ve been very interested in France and Spain recently for a variety of reasons, but today I listened to a radio programme about women in Iran as I’ve been loosely following the situation for a while.

Shame you don’t have the capacity to do such things, the world doesn’t revolve around America or Britain you know.

There you go OP, now you can stop fretting about the price of mounjaro (and fascism stuff) and go to bed.

Trump is not worried about same sex marriage.

No but the US Supreme Court is.

”so far in 2025, at least nine states have either introduced legislation aimed at blocking new marriage licenses for LGBTQ people or passed resolutions urging the Supreme Court to reverse Obergefell”

This is how these things start, small and the grow larger. Hopefully it won’t go the same way as Roe vs Wade.

I care, which is why I asked the question you are evading. You also didn't answer as the whether or not you think rape is prevalent in every country and every culture.

I was not saying you changed your position on Trump. I currently have no information on what it is because you refuse to say.
It appears you won't be clear about what your beliefs are, but you do tend to froth at the mouth about leftists and make silly generalizations about them. You have been sneeringly sarcastic to people who disagree with you as well. So a tentative conclusion about both your political leanings and character can be drawn from that and most especially from the anti-immigrant scaremongering propaganda you posted.

Hahahahaha you can continue to extrapolate and make shit up as much as you want, failed businesses man yet he is more successful than you are 😂

His ass belongs to Russia yet your European leaders admit that he is the only one who can help end the war in Ukraine 😂

His ass belongs to Russia yet the so called Russiagate has been proven to be a hoax by the democrats.

It's not hard to be more successful than me.😆 Especially if, like Trump you're from a really rich family.

He's declared bankruptcy numerous times, sinking many small US businesses along the way. He couldn't even make his casino turn a profit.🤯

His wealth and his position as POTUS come courtesy of Russia. His ass belongs to Putin.
