Actually I think the BBC does do a fairly good job of being unbiased compared to most news sources. The left are convinced they are biased right and the right are convinced they are biased left!

X is now promoting posts from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to all users. One of those posts directly attacked CNN, saying: “CNN has earned the title Fake News for a reason.”
This isn’t just a partisan jab and this isn’t even about CNN, it’s propaganda. And it echoes some of history’s darkest chapters.
Let’s talk about the parallels to Nazi rhetoric, because the comparison isn’t about shock value, it’s about recognizing patterns before they become normalized.
- “Fake News” vs. “Lügenpresse”
The Nazis weaponized the term “Lügenpresse”(lying press) to discredit any media critical of the regime. Sound familiar? Branding critical journalism as “fake news” is a tactic designed to erode trust in independent reporting and condition the public to only believe state-approved narratives.
- Government Propaganda Machines
In Nazi Germany, the Ministry of Propaganda churned out nationalistic images, dehumanizing stereotypes, and glorified portrayals of leadership. DHS is now posting stylized patriotic art, “sizzle reels” of ICE leaders, and even mugshots of migrants. Not for public safety, but to stoke fear and boost political theater.
- Scapegoating and Dehumanization
The Nazis portrayed minorities as criminals and threats to society. Today, we’re seeing DHS circulate mugshots of immigrants to build a narrative that conflates immigration with crime. While erasing due process and context. This isn’t public policy. It’s fearmongering.
- Undermining Democratic Norms
When a federal agency attacks journalists and amplifies culture-war propaganda, it’s not just “being political”, it’s dismantling the idea of objective truth. The message becomes clear: Don’t trust the media. Don’t question the government.
We’re not saying we’re Nazi Germany. But when the methods of communication start to mirror those of authoritarian regimes, it’s a red flag we can’t afford to ignore.
Silencing the press, stoking fear, and glorifying state power is not patriotism. It’s propaganda. It’s not what America stands for!
