To think that the USA is a dictatorship now?

Trump appears to have ultimate power. Who can challenge him? Who controls him? Presidents should not be dictating what drug companies charge for medicines on a whim, or indeed any other goods, at the drop of a hat. He says jump and the US says "How High?" What on earth have you done to yourselves and the world to let this evil, thick, orange toddler clown represent you? What the hell were you thinking?

And how many people voted for Starmer?

Oh yes… 33%.

And again, you’re arguing this U.K. vs US thing when it shouldn’t be. No one here has defended Starmer. But that doesn’t mean people can’t discuss Trump. Bad Trump doesn’t equal good Starmer. Issues in the UK don’t negate problems in the US. The world is having serious problems, all countries have issues, no one is perfect. But that doesn’t mean we can’t discuss other countries. Thats a silly argument.

What was the point in that exercise? All this ranting about orange rapists makes you sound unhinged.

You’ve listed all the ways you believe the UK is superior to the US. Good for you, you live here, that’s fine. What do you want, every single country on earth to be a carbon copy of this one? People are not the same - they have different cultures, different priorities. They’re allowed to. Just because you want it, doesn’t mean others have to. Don’t like the US? Dont live there. Why do you care so much? It’s none of your business.

And the tolerant UK you’re so proud of lets in masses of immigrant men to rape and abuse little girls - that’s the country you’re so proud of….

Your last paragraph is so Trumpy and smacks of racism. You assume immigrants are rapists, just like the orange thing once famously said. I would bet good money that attitude doesn't apply to white immigrants from, for example, Sweden, Holland or Australia.

BloodandGlitter · 15/08/2025 23:21

Why are you all supporting a rapist? Grim.
If nothing else the man is a liar and a rapist.
Campaigns on releasing the Epstein files and then realised he was in there, so now they don't exist either.
There are a disturbing amount of powerful Republican Party members being locked up for child abuse right now too.
Tariffs on everything making it incredibly hard for people to run their businesses but selling it as America doesn't pay them! Stupid.
I wonder less at the lack of IQ and more at the lack of compassion of people who support rapist Donald Trump.

I can find one case where a young woman posted grossly offensive racist language from rap lyrics in relation to a 13 year old killed in a car crash. Nice. She was given an eight-week community order, placed on an eight-week curfew and told to pay costs of £500 and an £85 victim surcharge. Not locked up, more of a warning to not be so fucking stupid and horrible.

A warning not be so fucking stupid and horrible?

Her friend died - she posted the lyrics of his favourite song as a tribute to him - and you think her punishment was fitting?

You’re out of your mind.

I have read extensively about history and social psychology and political history. And I come from a country that experienced dictatorship.
I can guarantee you that that’s exactly how it starts. The rhetoric, the masses and the isolation and blame to specific groups. The power behind media and the propaganda about a return to a better time.
The final element? People that don’t see it and think it’s always about someone else’s country

Well said.

Yes I said this earlier. I don’t think he is a dictator but he’s a dangerous individual who has raped and supports rape of women and children. That’s enough for me, no matter what other good or bad he has and hasn’t done. A rapist should never be in such a position of power.

Have large numbers of Swedish men, Australian men, Dutch men been raping and abusing little girls? I must have missed that. How strange

Communism, lol. The UK is the most communist country right now

Neither of them are remotely communist FFS. Please educate yourself and learn what communism actually is.

What do you mean by large numbers? That suggests you have statistics on white versus non-white immigrant rape rates. If so, provide them.
Rape is a problem all over the world, all nationalities, all cultures.

TooBigForMyBoots · 15/08/2025 23:31

SpryUmberZebra · 15/08/2025 22:40

And yet your precious Queen protected her pedophile son after he raped an underaged girl on Epstein’s island.

Bloody hypocrite.

Edited

Just so I'm clear. You're saying that the POTUS and Prince Andrew were friends of the notorious sex trafficker and rapist, Jeffrey Epstein, and regularly indulged in his "hospitality". Right?

Unfortunately trafficking, rape, child sex abuse and cruelty to women is rife all over the planet. It is seen as the disgusting cancer on society that it is, by right-minded people.

Despite that, America voted for an abusive bully, knowing that he was a multiple sex offender, liar, probable rapist, failed and corrupt businessman whose ass belongs to Russia.🤯

I also think it's massively hypocritical for you to complain about rape while indicating you support an adjudicated rapist who was thick as thieves with Epstein. Doesn't the cognitive dissonance make your head hurt?

It really isn’t. I know you’d like to believe the multicultural fantasy, some of us prefer to live in the real world. Other European countries keep the statistics you refer to. The UK doesn’t. I wonder why?

Hahahahaha you can continue to extrapolate and make shit up as much as you want, failed businesses man yet he is more successful than you are 😂

His ass belongs to Russia yet your European leaders admit that he is the only one who can help end the war in Ukraine 😂

His ass belongs to Russia yet the so called Russiagate has been proven to be a hoax by the democrats.

Apparently they don't care about white rapists. They just use rape to whip up anti-immigrant sentiment. Total hypocrites.

Granted it’s not the UK and not rape-specific, but it’s interesting all the same.

I don’t support him, where did I say that? Perhaps you could point out where I said that. I’m not even American. I said I could see why he appealed to people. I can also understand why others dislike him. I don’t like him, and I don’t like rape gangs. Where’s the hypocrisy?

Theresealindseyillbetyou · 15/08/2025 23:37

The UK has a lack of free speech.. really?

This coming from an administration that kicks journalists out of the White House press room if a tricky or probing question is asked.

Anything reported that doesn't meet US Government approval is deemed fake news.

That hick fucker Vance criticism of Scottish abortion clinics having buffer zones to protect users from religious zealots and that people couldn't have private prayer in their homes. Where the fuck did that come from.

If the lyrics also broke the law then yes. Some music lyrics are racist, misogynistic and homophobic, just because it's in a song it doesn't make it ok. I'm sure the grieving family were rather unimpressed. With freedom of expression comes responsibility. And you were entirely wrong about the sentence. Comparing that example to what Putin gets up to in and out of Russia is nonsensical.

Here are the British statistics you claim we don’t keep:

https://www.ons.gov.uk/aboutus/transparencyandgovernance/freedomofinformationfoi/rapestatisticsbrokendownbyethnicgroup

I also read a report that said a third of rapes are committed by migrants in the U.K. that means two-thirds are committed by non-migrants. I hope that helps.

To clarify, are you actually saying rape is not prevalent in every country and every culture? Because that would be what is known as a lie. I really hope you didn't just tell a bald-faced lie.
If you have the stats you refer to, show them. If not, you have nothing.

Great thread OP. I love that while you furiously denounce Trump for being a fascist ending democracy, what has actually really got you riled up is ...the price of your weight loss jabs going up.

Sums up our "progressive" liberal left in their solipsistic complacency.

Oh, it’s because it’s the law

Never any question in your mind that the law could be wrong, or misguided.

I guess gay folks persecuted back in the day should have just followed the law…

When’s it ever been wrong?

It was implied when you praised him for getting things done, but if I misconstrued that I apologize. To clarify, are you now saying you do not personally support or approve of Trump and his administration?
