Not gossip, but it’s my husbands birthday this month, he’s desperate for my chemical romance tickets but he didn’t manage to get any. He thought I was at work this morning, I wasn’t, I was securing two hospitality tickets for him :)

I think when you start a thread like this people will usually expect you to go first.

😄 I have absolutely none! I did witness an argument outside of my flat last week, which was kind of interesting. One woman said a man would be evicted because of his behaviour

But that went nowhere and I havent seen them since so was quite the waste of time really

This is lovely 🥰 - when is the concert? Hope you both have a lovely time

As a teenager I used to fancy emo boys so much 🤭🤭 with their skinny jeans and air of misery

Twice at work I have weaponised gossip. The first time, it prevented someone who was a shoo-in from getting promoted. The second time, it resulted in someone who had shat on me getting sacked (NOT for what they did to me, but for something else they did).

Never told ANYONE either of those things IRL.

Rallentanda · 15/08/2025 19:48

ok no I decided this should stay between me myself and I

Alltheoldpaintings · 15/08/2025 19:54

An acquaintance has just found out that her husband has been having an affair for 5 years: she contacted me as I used to be a lawyer, and has given me all the info.

She found out because they bought a phone for their 11 year old for starting secondary in September, and he accidentally left it in his dad’s car. When she used the “find my phone” feature she saw the car parked on a street in a town that is roughly on his one hour commute to work but he has no reason to be there, so she started snooping and now has all sorts of proof.

It turns out when he told her 5 years ago that his promotion meant he had to do longer hours, he was lying: ever since then he’s been stopping off on his commute either morning or evening and spending 2 hours with his mistress.

He also flew the mistress out to the area of her (the wife’s) family’s holiday home, so that he could claim he was going golfing but actually spend time with her.

👀 oo, why the first one?

The second one, I understand, sounds like deserved revenge!

My gossip is that I found out a neighbour of mine, who went through a breakup a couple of years ago and is still living in the house, waiting for it to sell, has been going round heavily implying she has been bravely shouldering the majority of the mortgage and bills all by herself, when in actual fact her ex is still paying half the mortgage (while paying for their own rental while they wait for the house to sell) and her new boyfriend moved in and started paying rent months ago so she's actually paying the least towards the roof over her head out of her, her ex and new boyfriend. No kids involved, she dumped the ex because she met new man, and she's bought a fancy new car....

She rang me for advice on choosing a divorce lawyer but told me she’s “getting all her ducks in a row” before letting him know, so yes I imagine so!

How did you find out? The poor ex

My DH ex girlfriend (who he has children with) moved some cocklodger in and my stepchildren kept on saying how horrible he was. I brushed it off as the kids just having loyalty to their dad as they are very close to my DH and myself UNTIL one day I popped by to drop a surprise off for the kids and while I knocked on the front door I could hear him screaming calling the kids ungrateful cunts and then opened the door all smiles to me. I was so damn angry but kept my cool.

I made a plan with one of my friends to take her car down to his car garage and flirt with him and try and get him to go on a date with her. She did. The dirty abusive “man” was happy to cheat on the woman who was letting him live in her house for free and treating my step children like crap. My friend took video recordings and pictures of their date and sent them to my DH Ex. Needless to say she was heartbroken but she did kick his butt to the curb and the kids are so much happier that he has gone

edit for spelling and to add the ex has no idea it was a set up

Good for her! Hope he suffers and ends up broke and womanless!

(Although not nice for the kids)

A couple I know who are the envy of everyone for how happy and chilled they seem on the outside are actually falling apart because they tried ‘ethical non monogamy’ and now one of them’s shagging somebody in - let’s just say a different tax bracket - who’s promising a bit more than baked beans on toast.

My DH wrapped some presents for me, while I was in the room. But I didn’t know what they were: I was blindfolded. It’s a fun tradition of ours.

MrsRobinsonsHandprints · 15/08/2025 20:10

Love the term hobosexuality haven't heard that before.
