Beyond fed up of DH’s dispute with neighbour

This has been going on for months now and it kicked off again earlier.

One of our neighbours on the opposite side of the street keeps parking his van opposite our drive. This can make it challenging for us to get on and off as it’s very tight.

DH raised initially - he said politely, I wasn’t there - and it stopped for a bit but then resumed. I have overheard two heated confrontations where DH goes out to speaks to him as he parks up.

Tonight, there was a right slanging match which became personal. The man appears to live alone and DH said it’s no wonder he’s on his own. He then said something inappropriate along the lines of ‘I’ll let you have a go on my missus if you ask nicely’ and then said he was joking and in his dreams.

Any advice? I’m sick of hearing about it!!

My advice - next time they start arguing, intervene and tell the neighbour he can have a go on your husband if he stops parking in your way. He doesn't even need to ask nicely. And don't forget to hand him a bottle of lube if you care for your husband even a little bit. Or a very large cucumber if you don't.

SeasalterSadie · 09/08/2025 13:34

Wow
What a disrespectful piece of shit he is
I don't think I could ever come back from that
Go and tell the the neihhbour he can park there, maybe your 'D'H will have a Coronary and that'll save you spending out to Divorce the fucker

TheRealGoose · 09/08/2025 13:51

Classy. Proper classy stuff op.

JJMama · 09/08/2025 16:46

The van is a non issue and your ‘Dh’ is unhinged to get worked up about people parking across the road?! He doesn’t own the road. Petty and pathetic. People like this tend to have some sort of personality disorder, and this would be a red flag to me.

This is before we even get to the vile shit he’s apparently said about you? This doesn’t even make any sense - why has he dragged you into it?! Is he always this disgusting and crazy?

I’d be seriously concerned about his mental health - is he always this unhinged or is this a new thing? Either way he needs to get help and you need to leave.

Candy24 · 10/08/2025 04:13

Im very tolerant of my husbands faults BUT if he said that about me Id be gone. That is disgusting.

BlueFlowers5 · 10/08/2025 10:30

Gosh OP, that's awful.
Is he a pxml?

Your H is disgusting . What on earth possessed him to say something like that ? Weirdo .

This. Gross way to talk about you, why does H think that’s acceptable?

Cherrysoup · 10/08/2025 10:55

Your Dh said what now?! Jesus H, I cannot imagine the type of person that would say that 😢

Eurovisionwatcherbecauselol · 10/08/2025 12:19

Sorry I don't believe this was said... Having an argument about parking however heated wouldn't then have this thrown in? Surely not.. You either miss understood it, or sorry to say you enjoy the reaction from Mnetters? I hope it's not the latter!

You seem to be the only one thinking this

Maybe it's me then that thinks differently but I just can't believe this was said...

Op is annoyed at her husband for his immaturity and lack of respect but it’s hardly worth divorcing for. Why do so many of you tell her to divorce him? Such drastic reactions you all have when a woman posts something about their husbands that is merely irritating.

Catladywithoutacat · 12/08/2025 06:34

Going through a neighbour dispute or harassment myself it is horrible and I understand your pain
I wish people would just live and let live

AmIEnough · 12/08/2025 09:36

Your husband sounds like a real catch!

UrbanFan · 12/08/2025 09:42

The driver can park legally on the road if he so chooses.

Your husband is a vile disgusting piece of work, making a vile disgusting comment about his wife. How on earth can you be with him!
