Immigration population up another 700k

1000 replies

Atallglassimdof · 30/07/2025 23:35

I understand that this country needs immigration but if you import 100,000s of low skilled workers, in their 30s and 40s, how are they going to fund their retirement or pay for their housing?

It just seems counterintuitive to bring loads of people into this country who will need considerable financial support ( housing benefits, pension credits) when they are no longer able to work, and don’t have the means to support themselves.

Gammon? WTF

You’re a terrible observer then.

Good luck with the new party, it sounds good. You should get 10 to 15% of the electorate:

I don't think they will be able to get past agreement to the pronouns section of the registration form to be able to go live with members.

The diversity monitoring form will take a committee of 150 to draft and they will need to raise hundreds of thousands for human rights lawyers raising lawsuits against their failure to create sufficient safe space free of migroaggresions without expecting free labour to educate.

That's how it will go.

Bizarre isn’t it. School holidays I guess.

The irony of accusing others of posting “walls of text” while you unload this unhinged rant isn’t lost on anyone. You’ve gone from debating ideas to hurling cheap insults, conspiracy theories, and bizarre culture war clichés — all while pretending to be the voice of reason.

I’m not here to win over every angry stranger on the internet. I don’t need to. The public mood is already shifting. Corbyns party membership has overtaken Reform, and the tired anti-refugee, culture panic brigade is still — thankfully — a loud but shrinking minority.

You call it “blabbering.” I call it facts, lived experience, and reality. And judging by how rattled you sound, it’s clearly hitting a nerve.

I'm pretty sure this forum is being astroturfed to fuck right now.

ThePhantomoftheEcobubbleOpera · 04/08/2025 14:25

Calling people gammon because they have the temerity to disagree with you? Meet Your Party - the new illiberals on the block.

I know the pp is angry and using stuff that’s a bit naff re ‘gammon’ but I don’t mind if the ‘new vibe’ does well.

Great if they have more sign ups, great if they get going. I hope they do.

ILiveOffCrumbs · 04/08/2025 14:33

Not British but I empathise because Canada had been totally destroyed

The federal government is so out of touch and disconnected from us it feels like we're being played

I've seen on Twitter the fast food guys in the UK. Our immigration is men doing gig stuff on the cheap. Mostly from India, often one particular region in India.

My main concerns are safety and stability. My children's safety. My elderly parents safety. My children's future. Etc. We can't have a proper culture or cohesive society when half the people showing up don't know what's going on. Or don't care/gloat that we might not like what's going on. Or outnumber us and therefore are able to impose their own culture. Totally chaotic. Not to mention how unethical it is to rid the ethnic British of a homeland. Nothing makes sense to me. They tell us China is the enemy, but Australia, an ally, is taking in tons of Chinese?

It's clearly way too much but I fail to see how we can resolve it we don't even know why it's happening

usersame · 04/08/2025 14:34

The Islamophobia thinly veiled as 'protecting our children' is deplorable on here.

You don’t need to worry about us. Latest available data suggests between 82/83% of the population is white British. Outnumbering isn’t an issue.

ILiveOffCrumbs · 04/08/2025 15:06

Islamophobia, Israelphobia, Gammonati, Transphobia. Words have lost meaning so we're left hurling buzzwords at each other. They haven't even got punch.

usersame · 04/08/2025 15:13

Fair point @ILiveOffCrumbs . Let's just call it racism then.

They mostly seem to be going for squashing stuff on social media. If that’s it then it won’t work.

Which is why my husband is looking into VPN but then they'll ban that won't they. It's all so obvious they've lost control. Keir is like a little innocent but dangerous marionette. I deleted my twitter I just can't cope it wrecks my mental health I want to pretend everything is normal

Nobody cares about people like you throwing labels around, they've lost all impact at this point.

I'm fed up of Farage and his odious cronies, emboldening the very worst sentiments in society and humanity in general and giving an 'acceptable' face to hate and division. The man is utterly vile. Rotten to the core. Misogynist, racist and all round nasty piece of work. He appeals to the lowest common denominators in society, preys on the dispossessed and the most insecure and bitter and gives them something to point their finger at and blame. We've seen this before in recent history and it won't end well.

The man is an ex banker, he went to Dulwich College (almost thrown out for expressing racist filth there). His daughter was at a boarding school with a girl I know. The man knows nothing about poverty. How much time does he spend in his constituency without holding his nose?

His policies include tax breaks for those using private schools. Well that would benefit us, but I'd leave the U.K. before voting for him. He doesn't give a monkeys about the 'little man' as he patronisingly refers to his voters. How can people not see through him to his rotten, pathetic core. Even his hero Trump said he was not up to the job.

And he bangs on about the Commonwealth..., Yes, well if your country went out and colonised large swathes of the world, interfering and exploiting them for our own interests while claiming cultural superiority as the 'free world', well don't be surprised when the flow comes the other way. You reap what you sow. People will always move, within and across borders by whatever means they have. Always have and always will. Of course people will go where they perceive there to be opportunities - the British are no exception. That's life Nigel. Embrace change or get left behind.

ThePhantomoftheEcobubbleOpera · 04/08/2025 16:03

You don't have to be a Reform voter to know that uncontrolled immigration isn't serving the country.

Farage campaigned for Brexit on the immigration card and 'taking back control.' The day the referendum result came in, what did he do? Resign! Literally ran away. You couldn't make it up.

And clearly Brexit has not meant 'taking back control' has it, because the boats are coming more than ever and poor people are just poorer.

ThePhantomoftheEcobubbleOpera · 04/08/2025 16:09

Are you replying to my post? I'm not sure if you are because it bears no relevance to my post. Or are you just having a general rant?

No I'm not replying to you - I'm replying to the depressing posts on this thread.

Complains about other people having the worst "sentiments"
generally refers to feelings, emotions, or opinions, often with a focus on their expression or influence on thoughts and actions

Goes on to refer to other people as:
Utterly vile
Rotten to the core
Misogynistic
Nasty piece of work
Lowest common denominators
Insecure
bitter

usersame · 04/08/2025 16:27

Yes all those words describe Farage and his cronies. Let's not pretend otherwise. He's had to distance himself from the blatant racist thug associates in order to stand for Parliament, but it's a very thin veneer. He's still as vile as ever. Repulsive individual.

ThePhantomoftheEcobubbleOpera · 04/08/2025 16:35

Are we talking about Farage or immigration here? I know I've arrived pretty late in the thread but there's a lot of unexplained conflation here.
