Do you instantly recognise a ND person?

Sort of related to a thread on here currently, I find it quite fascinating.
I suspect I’m probably ND and wonder if NT people recognise an ND person pretty much immediately? If so, how, what do you see?

Children develop in their own time and have different strengths. What could possibly make it so obvious in five mins that a child is neurodiverse - they may be reserved or a bit awkward today and have grown out of it in a year!

when you ask them about something and their face lights up and they info dump on you about it, it's quite a giveaway.

You seem very interested in how people can spot it op? I'm ND and I can often pick up on others being ND even without 'obvious' signs. I just get a certain vibe off them. I can't explain it. My 'vibes' were deeply discussed in my asd assessment!

A lot of the ND people I know don’t bother with conversation if it’s mundane.

Though actually on reflection they may well be really chatty about something they find interesting, even if I find it mundane.

Conversation whose only purpose is to connect with others and start to get to know them can lack interesting content, but it’s a precursor to building a relationship.

I don’t really ‘get’ content dump conversations. If I wanted to know about the trains running between Manchester and London in the 70’s, I’d look it up. I don’t want your specialist knowledge disgorged on me, thanks.

What is the walk and the mannerisms & expressions?

They aren’t all the same

Yes, I get the ND "vibe" as well. Sort of similar to how I can tell if someone has the same cultural background as me. People do give off signals, you just have to tune into them.
