Why can’t parents look at the term dates for DC schools

Schools here, broke up yesterday. Today on the way to shopping, I saw about 4 sets of kids and parents with children wearing school uniforms. I have friends who have DC attend these schools (2 schools) and there are no day trips or classes today.

My friends knew the term dates as on parents pages and WhatsApp groups

Some parents are just stupid and do not talk to their children.

those parents probably have five million things on their mind and insane level of cortisol in their bloodstream. give them a break.

I used to do this all the time. Now I mark term dates on the calender but I still nearly sent my daughter to school on a teacher training day! Luckily we realised in time. I think when there's a day off thats out of the norm it can really throw some people out of kilter

It’s literally none of your business. Just get on with your life.
