To ask what you think about Starmer’s plan to stop the boats?

1000 replies

WhereIsMyJumper · 10/07/2025 22:30

I cannot see how his ‘one in one out’ plan is going to help. I also can’t understand why France is cooperating with us. What’s the incentive?

If you don’t agree with this plan, what would your answer be?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/ckg6x4g6gg6t

Starmer says 'one in, one out' migrant deal with France to begin within weeks

He says small boats migrants will be returned to France, in exchange for asylum seekers who have not tried to enter the UK illegally.

I don’t work for M15 but I understand they’re always busy. Our terrorist attack level right now in the UK is ‘substantial’ which means a threat is ‘likely’ (words taken from their website).

So you don't have any evidence. My point stands.

WhereIsMyJumper · 12/07/2025 10:35

MiloMinderbinder925 · 12/07/2025 10:13

That isn't what the poster said and the French have laws governing what action they can take.

They also didn’t say they wanted them all killed…

If terrorists are known to be coming in on boats then would the army be able to be deployed along that cost line to verify vet and finger print ,face print whatever anyone coming in ??

See if intelligence services recognise anyone

Can you explain what deflating a dinghie in the English channel would do?

Better tell the intelligence services to stand down then.
nothing to see here

Obviously lies! They’re all wonderful people don’t you know 🙄

So there’s the evidence the pp is asking for. They got it wrong.

The dinghie would sink, people on board would get wet. The poster didn’t specify she wanted them to drown. You’ve made that up. She said when they enter our waters, she didn’t specify how deep the water is. But why don’t you ask her if that’s what she meant?

It only takes one nutter or person who thinks they are doing God's work. And unfortunately because they come in illegally or undetected who knows who is here. The UK is quite unpopular with a few countries...

Lovesstaggbeetle · 12/07/2025 10:42

I think people have got short memories of the horor the world witnessed including the UK with attacks.

If it's been proven that people who want to harm us have arrived on a boat why can't the army great them and finger print and log them ,sift for threats and so on

Precisely. I don’t think anyone is saying that all asylum seekers crossing on boats are terrorists. That’s absurd. But it wouldn’t be inconceivable to think a handful might be. And it only takes that many to cause a catastrophic incident.

Im not comfortable with thousands of undocumented people arriving in the UK. That does not mean I want them all to die 🙄

I did. The poster said that their dinghies should be deflated as they enter British water which will kill people.

Quirkswork · 12/07/2025 10:44

MiloMinderbinder925 · 12/07/2025 10:29

I can't believe you think vengeful Iraqis are coming here on dinghies. It's just another way of dehumanising people, making out that they're an 'invasion' and here to take over the country.

Since you know better than judges, perhaps you should train them. You know, in your time off from patrolling Dover for ISIS.

I know. For selfish reasons I am concerned for the safety of my family and myself for some reasons. 80% of illegal boat people are young men of fighting age from countries that do not have the same view of women for example. Or worse.

I feel that you are dehumanising. Could Iraquis not feel the loss of their families and want to seek revenge against the country that invaded theirs? It's a motivation as old as time.

I could get involved in training the judges. I'd like to.

Same. At least in a country where they have border security anyone entering is vetted.

" Iranian arrived via a small boat and lorry with the intention of committing serious violence ".

It doesn't matter what anyone thinks that's fact

The country is at breaking point.
Why not close the borders for 12 months to all none British citizens.
No one is misinformed.
Get Keir Starmer out.

Perfect sum up.

The numbers that have arrived are greater than our army. Which is a worry if we end up having to go to war and our army is deployed elsewhere....

No I'm not dehumanising people as I'm not calling them 'illegals' 'terrorists' and saying that Britain is 'full up' to asylum seekers. I'm not suggesting that their boats should be deflated or that they should be dumped in France like trash.

I'm not saying that they're an invasion and trying to take over the country and seek revenge and rape women like savages. I'm also not saying that we should get rid off laws that protect everyone to deprive a few or have a two tier justice system.

But they'd all just wade ashore. How would deflating their dinghies in UK shallow waters stop them claiming asylum?

? You didnt bother to read link ?

Awaiting trial old bailey

People ask for evidence get it then don't bother to read it
