To ask what gives you the rage that probably shouldn't

For me it's when I'm sleeping in, maybe at the weekend or if I've worked a late shift and I hear cars going past in the morning around 8am and they are blasting music. It gives me a desire to want to slap them. I know they are well within their rights to do so, and therefore I am being unreasonable but I am just convinced they are annoying people inside 🤣 I'm not a morning person. Obviously.

When I go somewhere and it’s really crowded. Totally unreasonable as I am obviously contributing to the crowding

Other people's bad driving. Especially when they don't have right of way around parked cars but just barge through anyway and I have to stop for them even though it was my right of way and they should have stopped and had time and space to do so. It incenses me far more than it should and I know I should just get over it because clearly some people are too stupid/selfish to be on the road and it's nothing I can control so I shouldn't let it bother me. But arrrrrrrgh.

People talking first thing in the morning. It gives me the rage when I am sitting on the bus at 6:30 and someone is having a full blown conversation. There should be a rule that there is no talking until at least 08:30.

Empty restaurants when I want to experience a good atmosphere along with my food. It really pisses me off how other people don’t align their meal times to mine.

Slow walkers and slow drivers, and actually any other pedestrians or vehicles being out and about at the same time as me and getting in my way…move!!!

Headphones on in public. Rude!

People talking and dithering with staff when at the front of the queue. Come on, there’s other people waiting behind you, move along now!

I rage when my DH talks with his mouth full. He purposely waits to speak after he has loaded up his gob just to annoy me.

I work in a job with shift work and someone is renovating their kitchen in my apartment building. Or at least that’s what I’ve been told..I feel like they’re drilling into steel every 10 minutes just to piss me off when I have to sleep during the day for night shift. It’s like the drill is going into my very soul. They’re not doing anything wrong and are well within the hours to do that work and I KNOW this but they are on my shit list anyway!

Most of my annoyances are deeply reasonable (manspreading, litter), but I have to say that DH giving me a spoon to eat a dish I would use a fork for is one of my more unreasonable minor irritations. I mean, he is the one who cooked it, and it's perfectly eatable with a spoon, but it drives me mad.

The kid across the road who plays basketball ball on the drive from the minute he gets home until 10pm. The repetitive bouncing ball noise gives me white hot rage 😅 of course he technically isn’t doing anything wrong but it’s sooooo annoying.

The way my husband hangs washing on the line, to the point where I have forbidden him to touch any of my clothes.

He hangs his boxers along the leg seam, for example, instead of from the waistband. He hangs t shirts without straightening them first. He doesn't straighten socks before pegging them out. We don't iron, so these things are important.

And probably worst of all, doesn't colour co-ordinate the pegs with the item, or even use the same coloured pegs on each item.

I really have to restrain myself from going out and re-hanging his stuff correctly 😂

People who think portable BBQ's can be used up on the moors

People walking their dogs at the same time as me. I have a reactive dog and I feel I want the ground to swallow me up. I believe a rota should be put in place and every house gets a staggered start.

When meetings descend into long discussions of issues that only affect a few of the attendees. Yes I know you need to discuss your issue while you're all in a room together but the rest of us are sat here wasting our time. Organise your own meeting!!

Going to a public place, and there being other members of the public there.

OH and people who take a billion years to get to the point of a (usually boring) story because they tell you every little detail along the way. Excruciating.

People who sneeze again, after I've blessed them 🙄
