Favourite lazy arse dinners

As per title. Tonight I have a plate of pasta (fusilli) with butter melted through and cheddar cheese on top. Teaspoon of lazy garlic mixed through with the butter. When I’m being less disgusting I melt butter and a little garlic into the fusilli, add tuna or chicken and basil, and squeeze a lemon over. But the ultimate lazy dinner is literally a heap of pasta covered in cheese.

What are your ultimate lazy arse dinners?

Baked beans on toast.

I've just had my laziest of the lazy arse dinners (for me). Heat pan, no oil, crack in two eggs swirl them around with a chopstick to scramble (I don't even whisk them in a cup first FGS!), add grated cheese, tip out onto toast and eat. It was delicious and took less than five minutes.

Anydreamwilldo2 · 08/07/2025 20:27

Love these!
mine is a pack of 4 mixed dips (sour cream, garlic, thousand island) dumped on a large baked potato

or

spongy white bread, Ardennes pate and cucumber or coleslaw

With gallons of red wine

@OhMaria2If you get a blanket or throw and wrap it around your shoulders, you can pretend you’re a young but wise shepherdess who lives out on the windy moors, having her simple repast for the day…

Perhaps you might be lucky enough to find a pickled onion in your pocket that you cut in half using your trusty bone handled penknife.

DiscoDancingDoris · 08/07/2025 21:48

Beans on a white bread roll..(not toasted) loads of butter, pepper and cheese.

Bacon sandwich, bacon done mega crispy with mayo, ketchup and salt and vinegar crisps inside the sarnie.

I am gross I know.

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 08/07/2025 23:08

Yesterday I ate peanut butter, two apples, a small slice of cheese, a piece of bead with jam and some blackcurrants from the garden. Yesterday it was just me, though.

Spudthespanner · 08/07/2025 23:37

Tonight’s dinner was two bowls of crunchy nut cornflakes 👍🏻

I’m having one of those days so it’s crisp sandwich for me tonight.

But which flavour? I say the only possible flavour of crisps for a crisp sandwich is cheese and onion. And the bread has to be thick white warburtons, buttered.

Oh no, only salt and vinegar will do!

FurForksSake · 10/07/2025 17:44

Itsu frozen yakatori skewers for dinner, couldn’t even be bothered to make a carb.

S&V agree. In sandwiches only though. Otherwise I could happily have 2 or 3 bags of Walkers RS for supper. Maybe 4.

Cheese and crisp sandwich

Bearinthesmallmessyflat · 10/07/2025 19:13

In the summer - bits from the fridge withe either buttered bread or buttered crackers

In the winter - cheesy beans on toast/baked potatoes or whatever we’ve got in the cupboard/freezer stew.

Bearinthesmallmessyflat · 10/07/2025 19:16

I’m also now craving a cheese and onion crisp sarnie but we’ve no crisps in 🥲

SpiceGhoul · 10/07/2025 19:27

Buldak noodles or Kimchi nong shim with a pack of stir fry veg and maybe some cooked chicken added in. Aldi or m&s loaded chicken Caesar dip with slices of hot buttered baguette, or m&s Mexican dip with Walkers max paprika or cheese and jalapeno for scooping. Red box cheesey pasta. Supermarket Rotisserie chicken on a baguette. Iceland chicken pakora strips in a wrap with salad and chili sauce. Chips and gravy or yeungs curry sauce.

Slab of chocolate and a packet of crisps 😂

😂

MuckFusk · 10/07/2025 19:36

I buy this powdered vegan cheese sauce substitute which is to be used on pasta. I cook the pasta, mix a little butter or margarine and milk (or milk substitute) into it with the powdered sauce, stir well and there you have it. I serve bagged salad on the side. Lazy AF and my daughter loves it.

Soonenough · 10/07/2025 19:42

A Magum ice cream .

Arlanymor · 10/07/2025 19:45

I'm not beyond opening a can of beans, putting some pre-grated cheese on top, swirling it in (Or should that be folded? Don't ask me David, I can't do everything for you...) and eating cold. See also Heinz Ravioli.

Chilli spaghetti..

Cook spaghetti. 1 min from the end add some garlic and pine nuts to a pan with chilli olive oil and fry for 1 min. Throw in the cooked spaghetti to coat, add some chopped fresh flat leaf parsley, sprinkle on some parmesan and voila! If you’re using fresh pasta it’s on the plate in less than 5 minutes

Sounds delish!

Just had Lidl. BBQ spare ribs with my picky GC, they’re slow cooked before you buy them, Only need heating and the sachets of sauce poured over them. Absolutely delicious. Just have with microwave rice if you want carbs.

morbidcuriosity · 10/07/2025 21:00

Crumpets in the toaster, eggs in the microwave, put on top (they actually come out ok) and if im more hungry then some beans too
