Agreed

How about we take away your home, your whole income and your ability to earn money and see how long you survive

Lalgarh · 02/07/2025 14:19

ghostyslovesheets · 02/07/2025 14:17

So crying now means your mental unwell or depressed!

Would she qualify for PIP

Soulfulunfurling · 02/07/2025 14:19

Reeves does not work in a cake shop where some tears here and there will be irrelevant - the whole fucking country is at stake, no, she can’t afford to start bloody crying and nor can we… I hope she gets her resignation out of the way quickly and leaves.

There is too much at stake

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 02/07/2025 14:19

alexalisten · 02/07/2025 14:17

Her net worth is 2 million

If she owns a house in London, that's not really surprising. She will still need somewhere to live, so it's not like cash in the bank.

Who do you want to replace her?

Iv cried at work before but im not being paid millions to keep it together and to act professional at all times in public.

I'd rather work with people who cry than people who bully, or have tantrums. Sadly, the latter seems to get a pass if you work in government.

sleepwouldbenice · 02/07/2025 14:20

Soulfulunfurling · 02/07/2025 14:16

Genuine question how could they be worse?!

Genuine question how can you be so naive

ghostyslovesheets · 02/07/2025 14:17

Sweeties, chocolate whatever - she should NOT have cried - she represents the whole bloody country as she is ''government''

CurrentHun · 02/07/2025 14:20

Poor her. I hope someone is looking after her. She’s just a human being and she’s doing a fucking hard job. Pretty sure she’s going to be made to carry the can for all of these proposals and U turns, when it definitely won’t just have been her dreaming them up. She’s trying to balance the books and has inherited a shit show financially. I totally blame Kier Starmer for this awful PIP proposal which would have pushed 250,000 people into poverty. And pushed them on to other areas of public spending that they try then need help in. False economy.

Politicians are just people and I would much rather have normal people doing that job with normal stresses and life events happening to them, that affect them emotionally and that they are able to cry when they’re upset.
Much better for 99.9% of the population to have people like that than having some out of touch gazillionaire in charge who doesn’t really have much at stake personally when leading their country

alexalisten · 02/07/2025 14:20

ghostyslovesheets · 02/07/2025 14:18

But she’s not paid ‘millions’ to do her job is she?

But shes clearly been paid millions over the years to do her job.

I’d move in with my parents and be fine. The majority of people have options. What proportion of people would be genuinely on the streets? 20% of current recipients? It’s those people the funding should be geared at.

mysecretshame · 02/07/2025 14:20

Who do you want to replace her?

Who'd want the job Starmer throws everyone under the bus.

TwoFeralKids · 02/07/2025 14:21

Spartahori · 02/07/2025 14:04

In what way is taking measures that move private school kids to state helping anyone? Its a policy that distresses the kids and costs the state money, what is the sense in that?

Maybe get a third or fourth job? Give up netflix?

FullOfLemons · 02/07/2025 14:21

MyNameIsX · 02/07/2025 14:08

I assume this is written with tongue firmly in cheek….

So who do you think will replace her ?

I don’t think Starmer has good options … no doubt he would welcome your thoughts

Disabled people also need somewhere to live i would of lost my home if she had got her way

Global financial crisis in 2008. Yes, Labour were in power then, but the crisis wasn't of their making. The coalition government (Tories propped up by LibDems) made the catastrophic mistake of imposing austerity from 2010 onwards. We've never recovered. Cutting public services to the bone was never going to end well. Then we have the self-inflicted wound of Brexit, rapidly followed by Covid.

This is hilarious.

We would have been better off if we were more in debt than we are?

Socialism for you.

They are out of touch. They’re out of touch with SMEs and those impacted by NI policy which is why they’re in this mess.

And with all the other people they’ve managed to alienate.

MPs are not paid millions to do their jobs, not even Cabinet Ministers.

Reported.
I work and pay huge amounts of tax to support the benefits system. As does my whole family.
Why is everything about you?
Your language is disgusting.

Reported another poster for having an opinion you disagree with & for using the word cunt.

Both are allowed within the talk guidelines.

Gordon Brown's response to a global banking crisis meant the UK suffered far less than most economies.

Soulfulunfurling · 02/07/2025 14:23

mysecretshame · 02/07/2025 14:20

Who do you want to replace her?

Anyone from the Conservative Party and they can save the finances of this great nation.

CherriesOnTheTop · 02/07/2025 14:23

Spartahori · 02/07/2025 14:11

What do you think is going to happen?

I voted Labour in the hope of grown up government making decisions in the best interest of the country and yet we have these childish idiots who cannot understand that the predicted rises in health benefits will crash the economy.

The benefits claimants will rue the day they ever complained about Rachel when Reform get in. The mad thing is some of them will probably be Reform voters themselves. I'd suggest they read Reform's manifesto on how it will be tackling benefits. I doubt their backbenchers will be sympathetic unless you have cast iron medical proof of being disabled and truly unable to work at all.

You're very lucky to have family to fall back on not everyone does.
