Name something unhygienic/disgusting but people do it

I start off:
. Holding money their mouths. It’s mainly an elderly person thing. Friends working in retail see this often. Even in mask wearing days, customers lowered masks to do this, yet denied it.
. Going to the toilet and not flushing
. Washing chicken out. People don’t realise that this can spray bacteria around. Cooking it properly will kill bacteria.
. Coughing without covering mouth. Even with Covid, people are still doing this.
. Not washing hands after using loo. In public toilets, I use hand sanitiser as seen people from certain cultures spit and mums letting their toddler DS to wee in the basins.
. On planes, people walking barefooted especially in toilets. With the quick turnaround of planes, the staff can’t clean everywhere

dont wash their hands before eating
share food,
dont wash their hands after sneezing.

Not putting the lid down on the loo.
Not washing hands after the loo.
Spitting.
Clearing the throat and spitting it out.
Coughing without making any effort to cover their mouth.
Vaping/smoking.

Picking their nose and eating it 😭
I do pick my nose sometimes if it feels like there’s something in it but at the traffic lights on my way to work recently I saw a woman pick her nose and eat the contents. I was so shocked - I couldn’t look away even though I was repulsed! Do other adults pick their noses and eat it? I’ve worked with kids, I’ve seen this happen before but never seen an adult do it 😱

-Wearing outdoor shoes inside.
-Using the absolutely manky sponge at work instead of putting things in the dishwasher and then leaving the manky 'washed' dishes on the equally manky drainer without wiping them.

Not washing hands: after the loo, before eating, before cooking etc

Not putting the lid down to flush the loo, it’s really gross not to.

Not washing outerwear - coats, gloves, scarfs, hats etc the smell when some people walk into a cafe or shop with their smelt slightly damp outer garments is horrible. Just wash them!

Shoes in the house and on soft furnishings.

Eating food that has dropped on the floor.

Sharing drinks.

X second rule (people make up the number of seconds becasue it's utter rubbish).

Letting dogs sleep on/in the bed

Sitting on the train sniffing for ages and not blowing their nose so we can all hear them sucking up their snot the entire journey.

Washing up bowl.

stick other people’s genitals in their mouths.

Not washing every towel after every use

Not getting up in the middle of the night to change the bedding..gross to have a WHOLE night in one set

Breathing within 20ft of another person

Allowing food waste to drop from their body without a hermetically sealed chamber and then NOT scrubbing with bleach afterwards

Eating anything except green leafy veg grown in their own garden in filtered air

Using anything that anyone else have ever touched ever.

That's me off to hell then. My little dog won't sleep anywhere else and as I'm otherwise alone in bed, I'm happy to have him there.

Not putting the toilet seat down before they flush…

Not rinsing the suds off the dishes after washing up. Just leaving them all bubbly and slimy on the draining board.

I continue to be shocked at the amount of people who don't wash their hands before eating or preparing food.

Putting takeaway containers on the plate you're planning to dish the actual food onto and eat from.

Not leaving toilet seat down when flushing and toilet not in use. That's what it's there for! It's not there to be pretty, it's intended function is to be down when you're flushing!!

Handling money and serving food with the same hand
Licking the spoons at the salad bar and putting the spoons back (seen more than once)
Changing babies nappy on a cafe table
Allowing your dog to stand on a cafe table and lick the plates clean (local
garden centre last week)
Allowing your toddler to take a bite of a bakery item, deciding the don’t like it and putting it back in the wrapper on the shelf ( member of my local baby group in Tesco)

Not washing hands- getting public transport to work in a cafe then immediately getting stuck in making salads and ssndwiches.
