Do you call your child "sausage"?

Are you my neighbor? I called my son a wee sausage last night (not something I call him often). But I call him lots of different names “my baby angel cake”, “my little honey pie”. He usually makes names back for me, and then we make up silly songs.

My husband looks at me as if I’m nuts.
But my mum and I did the same thing too when I was a child: and her dad did too lol

My favourite memory of my small three year old from the top of the slide yelling at me ‘I can’t go down because Sausage won’t go down!’ He’d been patiently waiting while a dad cajoled his kid from the bottom saying ‘Come on Sausage you can do it!’

I have a very vague memory of once upon a time knowing what her name is. I think it was a common girls name like Amelia or Lily or something.

My friend has always called me Sweetie - I hate it.

My mum used to call me that, and honey bun, and cheeky chops, now she has trouble remembering who I am, so I have very fond memories on when she used to call me that. Thanks for reminding me.
