To think the US was right to bomb Iran? What am I missing?

I am no fan of Trump. I’m very much left wing.

But am I missing something here? Why has everyone become such huge supporters of Iran? The world is a safer place as a result of removing their capability to develop nuclear weapons? Why is everyone carrying on like Iran is a victim and they were truly just trying to implement peaceful nuclear capabilities? Has everyone lost the plot?

That takes me back to when Bibi first announced this imminent threat in the 90s. Good times. Then he did ot again in the naughties. He was all "Iran will strike our countries with nuclear weapons within weeks/months.

It did not come to be, but good old Netenyahu, he kept banging that drum into the 2010s. I mean, you've got to give it to him, right? But seriously, 20 years after he started talking shite about Iran's ability to build and launch nuclear weapons they hadn't.

Now it's 2025. Still no evidence of a nuclear bomb. Did that stop him?

Did it fuck. But he's finally found a POTUS who's easily manipulated into going against what he promised his voter base, his party and American swing voters.

Whatever anyone thinks is true of the current state of Iran's program, no one involved in military analysis says that Iran have not been trying to develop a nuclear bomb, nor does anyone (except fools on MN) think they would not like to now.

Acting as if this is a crazy idea because so far they have been unsuccessful is simply ignorant.

After these attacks one of the main priorities for Iran will be to get nuclear weapons. They are only set back 6 months a year. If North Korea can do it, surely Iran will and the whole thing is a hideous waste with horrible implications for the citizens involved.

This is a crazy idea because there was a Iran nuclear deal in place that was working. Iran agreed unfettered access to its nuclear sites by inspectors. Trump tore up the deal in 2018.
US and Iran were days away from starting negotiations when Israel attacked them (against international law). If anyone actually thinks bombing Iran will make it less likely that they will develop nuclear weapons they are crazy.
If Iran don't have nuclear weapons jn five years time I will come back here and apologise profusely for my idiocy but I can't see how bombing them to shit will help anyone (except Satanyahu).

As someone who is not racist, xenophobic or islamaphobic, I struggle to see why Iran having nuclear weapons is worse than China, India, North Korea, Russia and America having them. Israel, currently committing genocide have them and they have refused the IAEA monitoring.
