I was reading about a woman stuck in Turkey. She was there with her partner who was having teeth implants. So they got drunk and she fell against the glasss shower screen in the hotel. And it smashed. So they did a runner. Police chase. Got caught put in jail. Told they owed £15k or else. Sad face. Hmm. Though it does seem very steep for a shower screen.

Yes but UK implants are done correctly and look natural. Mine took 7 appointments over 6 months and you cannot tell they are implants look totally natural both colour and fit. You really should trust your UK dentist as can always call if any issue during process.

The hotel will be losing money every day the room has to be left empty though.

They can afford to go to Turkey and get their teeth ‘fixed’ so they can bloody well afford to pay for the damage they caused!

Aren't veneers the more 'cosmetic' procedure and implants are to replace missing teeth ?

Was she thinking about her when she booked the flights and went off to
Turkey ? Was she thinking about her when she blew whatever the cash is
for the obvious lip surgery (at least) she's had ? Were she and her horse,
sorry boyfriend, thinking about her when they spent the money on his
comic monstrosities ? Were they thinking about her when they got
drunk and smashed up their room ? Were they thinking about her AT ALL
until they got caught and see her as a way of blackmailing gullible people
to give them cash to escape the consequences of their crime(s) ?
Now if that go fund me page was to liberate that 12 year old girl to a
parent that gave a damn about her welfare, I suspect it would raise it's
target easily !!

Sorry, I'm a bit slow on the uptake. The GFM says her family RAISED the £15 k but she is refusing to pay it as her lawyer says it ought to be less. So why the go fund me? She has the money. Refusing to pay it is on her. What is she raising extra money for?

I hope they stay in Turkey.

She's already spent half of it on living costs in Turkey while she tries to fight paying the bill, makes no sense whatsoever.
I'm not sure what the gofundme is for because she doesn't seem to be intending to pay the 15k

But what do you do if you've got no chance of affoing dental treatment in the UK?
MNers make lots of comments about teeth. A lot of people's dental issues comes from parental neglect. We need people to be cleaners etc. £8k is achievable for turkey teeth, £30k for UK teeth, is impossible. My DD earns around £26K a year, this week she's had to oay £550 for fillings, she has TMJ. Luckily her living costs are low, or it would lead to tooth loss.

She was on anti psychotic drugs apparently, which dont mix well with alcohol. Her partner should have called emergency services before things escalated. The hospital bill would have been enormous if the didn't have medical insurance, which if they had would have been invalidated if she chose to drink alcohol with her medication.

That’s the funniest thing I’ve read in ages. She gave the lawyer “power of attorney” because she hasn’t the mental capacity to make decisions herself?!
They are both ridiculous and created the whole situation themselves and now expect others to bail them out of it. She’s tried a few times to leave but been stopped at passport control. Really? She’s an idiot, Turkey can keep them. It’s the daughter I feel for but she’d be better off with a responsible adult.

Why does she not deserve to be in jail? I imagine that criminal damage is a crime in Turkey. She’s committed a crime by wrecking a hotel room - it’s not just a shower screen. She chucked stuff around in a drunken rampage.

It's always sensible to get travel insurance but I don't think it would make any difference in this case. I'm pretty sure costs resulting from smashing a room up whilst drunk wouldn't be covered under a standard policy.

Yeah, and if you read the GFM she already has the £15K just refuses to pay it so instead is spending it on hotels. She could already be home.
