To ask what you think of Meghan and Harry's "bump dance" video?

comeandhaveteawithme · 05/06/2025 11:18

To mark Lilibet's 4th birthday, they've uploaded this video. I think it's cute and fun but the usual haters are out in force.

She clearly has a monitor on under her dress but people are claiming it's a pillow, and people are also claiming it's not possible to dance like that while heavily pregnant (it totally is, if you're in good shape)

Also the horrible comments from men saying she must have got a lot of practice in, giving lap dances on yachts

Don't really know what people's problem is with these two tbh.

@Dangermoo

Have you read ‘Spare’?

I assume not as he was if anything ,too kind to Charles

I assume you are aware that Charles wrote a much more vitriolic book slamming Elizabeth and Philip as parents ?

So you've got a personal vendetta against Charles? Got it. Glass houses and stones.

Loub1987 · 05/06/2025 13:04

I find anyone (other than very young people) sharing this sort of stuff on social media embarrassing. However, I’m a very private person and many others disagree. Each to their own.

LittleHouseOnThePrarie · 05/06/2025 12:57

Are you serious @comeandhaveteawithme ?

It's not what 'the media' tell us - it's what THEY tell us!

Surely you watched Oprah and PH's interviews? And at least have heard of his book Spare and how he criticises his family.

They have made themselves unpopular by their behaviour.

How odd you don't see that.

Yep. I'm 100% serious. I have watched the interviews. I have read the book. I have listened to what they have actually said and done and I am absolutely convinced that people are falling for the lies fed to the media, as H & M have been telling us. It is so clearly obvious for anyone to see.

I think it’s fine and I’m not a huge fan of the royal family at all, in fact would quite like to get rid of them all. However can not understand all the vitriolic hate and frothing about M and H. People must have so much time on their hands and not a lot going on in their lives to work up so much anger and start endless threads about how horrible they both are. Really quite sad to see.

Ukisgaslit · 05/06/2025 13:07

You seem confused @Dangermoo
Do you condemn Charles’ book too ?

And yes I have a vendetta against the whole bloody lot of them if you want to put it that way !

Or endless threads about how wonderful they are. Really quite sad to see.

FancyNewt · 05/06/2025 13:08

I think it's sweet. They are marking their daughters birthday by looking back on that day.

DaisyChain505 · 05/06/2025 13:08

KatieKline · 05/06/2025 11:23

It's weird, why does she think anyone wants to see. They wanted privacy, but then keep popping up, go away, you wanted privacy.

I'm not an H&M hater at all. I watched their wedding, and was actually really pleased when they got married.

Wanting privacy doesn’t mean you need to crawl In to hole and never see the light of day again. It means wanting control of your own information and experiences and choosing what you decide to share.

Did Charles publicly humiliate his mother? Well aside from divorcing Diana.

MrsCarson · 05/06/2025 13:09

They wanted privacy, so why put this out there now? Not getting enough attention?

Trendyname · 05/06/2025 13:09

comeandhaveteawithme · 05/06/2025 11:41

Just why TF not really

It's a bit of fun.

You asked in the titile what posters think of the video?

DenDenDenise · 05/06/2025 13:10

I think it's cute - she looks so happy - but as for posting it on-line for all to see knowing how much hate she gets on-line - just why ??
It's a moment to keep private - not for all to see and mock and dissect

TheAutumnCrow · 05/06/2025 13:10

Dangermoo · 05/06/2025 12:51

How on earth are those situations related to this video? Straw grasping.

It’s the script.

  1. What about Andrew? (These parts: passim)
  2. I can’t believe the levels of hate and VITRIOL (ditto)
  3. Lazy Kate and William (see also: Celebitchy)
  4. Racist Britain (see also: Celebitchy)
  5. Why do you care? (ditto)
  6. You are all sheeple being gaslit (ditto)
  7. Cap doffing forelock tugging royalists (ditto)
  8. Jealous because this fine prince didn’t choose YOU, get over it (ditto)
It’s ever so sweet.

I don’t think they are ‘wonderful’. I just can’t get worked up enough to hate them as much as other people clearly do and honestly think there is something wrong with people’s lives if they feel that way. Just let them get on with it. You can chose to not look. I mean I do. Can safely say I rarely see anything about them in my socials and I don’t watch the news.

WilfredsPies · 05/06/2025 13:15

The people repeating the propaganda are pawns who don’t realise that they can’t think for themselves
Harry’s departure and continued existence presents a real threat to the Windsors

They are throwing everything they have at him .

😂 Would you be one of those people who were convinced that Covid was a government conspiracy by any chance? Did you post lengthy rants on social media about sheep and doing your own research on You Tube before having the vaccine? Because that’s remarkably similar to how you’re sounding now.

What risk does he present to the Windsors? He’s so daft the Queen would barely have trusted him to give the corgis a walk around the grounds. They certainly won’t have trusted him with any of the really dirty, dark secrets that probably do exist. And ‘they’ don’t need to throw anything at him. Every single bit of negative press his name has been attached to recently has been of his own making. How do you think ‘they’ have been causing him problems? Because the only thing I can recall is declining to provide him with police protection. And while I do sort of see his point, can you imagine the uproar if British tax payers money had been spent on providing protection for them? The couple who want no part of serving the country and don’t even want to live here?

I don’t think you’ve thought this through.

Smallsalt · 05/06/2025 13:15

I find twerking a bit cringe and undignified at the best of times let alone when heavily pregnant so it wouldnt be for me. But if they are happy to put the video out there, what's the harm? Other than of course putting themselves in the firing line for the racist , haters and weirdos they attract to spew more bile.

HootyMcBoobys · 05/06/2025 13:15

It's really odd how many people are invested in the "moonbump" nonsense. The amount of Youtube channels dedicated to "exposing" them are pathetic, ie Dan Wooton, Lady C, those Sidley twins etc. Do they really think these media savvy people are so dense that they thought they could pull off a fake pregnancy, with the collusion of the whole Royal family, the hospitals, doctors, nurses, the "surrogate", their personal staff, etc? It's nonsense. They even claim her "moonbump" fell to her knees at one event, but strangely, ZERO footage of what happened afterwards in front of hundreds of press/paparazzi. Where are the pictures of her waddling away, tripping over the straps etc? It didn't happen, that's why there are no pictures. Just a picture of a gust of wind moving her dress oddly for a moment.
They claim her bump changed sizes from day to day and even within the SAME event. Is she THAT dense that she would alternate the size of her bump on a daily basis if she was really trying to pull off a massive pregnancy scam?
Honestly I'm no Royal fan at ALL, I just see a massive pile-on.
And for the record, I was chief bridesmaid at my best friends wedding at 38 weeks pregnant and danced Scottish Celilidh dances all night. In heels.
Pregnant women are all very different and can do different things weirdly, despite "midwives" coming on the internet to say its "impossible" for her to wear heels/kneel/bend etc the way she did.

Not a fan of them, the Royals or the monarchy in general, but not a fan of delusional bollocks either.

This⬆️ I was 8 months pregnant and dancing in heels at a nightclub. I think a bit of gentle twerking is possible. 😂

cumbriaisbest · 05/06/2025 13:18

I think it would be nice if H and M (and the rest of them) quietly and with dignity used their fame and fortune to help projects. To be humanitarian, to care.

LuxuryWoman2020 · 05/06/2025 13:18

I think it's sweet and fun.

MrsMappFlint · 05/06/2025 13:18

Why is any negative comment towards this couple-the woman especially-described as "hate".

So emotional, extreme and incorrect. I don't think the vast majority of people who comment negatively on them actually hate them.

Many find them (take your pick): unlikeable; pathetic; laughable; hypocrites; liars; ridiculous; shit stirrers; disloyal or grifters but don't actually hate them, don't wish them dead.

I really dislike how one term fits all. People don't hate them and laughing at them or commenting negatively is not demonstrating hatred.

I don't know how people manage in real life. Do they really think that criticism, someone laughing at them, means that they are hated? Do they think that someone who passes a kind comment loves them?

How exhausting to live at these emotional extremes. Like and Dislike are usually better and more accurate terms.

lifeonmars100 · 05/06/2025 13:18

One of the reasons I am a republican is the way that the royal family is such a distraction for all the real problems we have. I think this country would grow up a bit if we no longer had any royals of any description Release them all into the wild, they are all loaded and will be fine. In fact I think it would be a kindness to just let them go away and be private citizens. It would also be healthy for all the media and attendant members of the public who are obsessed with hating M and H and adoring W and K to just stop it. Oh, and I was out dancing the night I went into labour, it was new year's eve and I had a few dances, a curry and then wow, baby was on its way at 38 weeks!
