To ask what you think of Meghan and Harry's "bump dance" video?

To mark Lilibet's 4th birthday, they've uploaded this video. I think it's cute and fun but the usual haters are out in force.

She clearly has a monitor on under her dress but people are claiming it's a pillow, and people are also claiming it's not possible to dance like that while heavily pregnant (it totally is, if you're in good shape)

Also the horrible comments from men saying she must have got a lot of practice in, giving lap dances on yachts

Don't really know what people's problem is with these two tbh.

It’s extremely cringey. To have posted the video, not to have done that kind of thing. I think they are both very cringe in general, but quite liked the As Ever stuff and the most recent tv show. This is a completely odd direction to go after that. Quite clearly monitors on her tummy though, I’ve never bought the surrogate rumours at all. Harry is an atrocious dancer, very posh boy at uni trying to pull.

Busted2006 · 05/06/2025 11:31

I thought it was funny.

but people are unhinged when it comes to them and anything they do will never be okay… I think they know that and are past caring

verityveritas · 05/06/2025 11:32

I think Megan is rather sweet. She’s doing the dance gently, particularly the ‘Farmer Joe’ squats at the end, I was taught them in my antenatal yoga class as it’s meant to help bring on contractions. Could have done without Harry blocking my view at the end of the clip🫣😂.

Honestly.. most of us are able to understand the concept of consent. You can say no at one time and then say yes at another time and it be perfectly acceptable.

The point is, they wanted to have the right to share what they want to share, when they want to share it, not have that right taken away from them by people jumping in front of their cars and mobbing them to take pictures without their consent.

It really is a simply concept to understand.

I can't stand her but I thought this was actually rather lovely

the80sweregreat · 05/06/2025 11:34

The hatred on line ( X) for them is very extreme. People still going on about the tights for Princess Charlotte at their wedding, how the pregnancies were not real , how anyone can dance that heavily pregnant, it goes on and on and some really like putting the boot in. I know they don’t always do themselves any favours sometimes, but that level of hate for them both is off the scale.

socialmediaissues · 05/06/2025 11:35

I think she’s a good dancer ! At 41 weeks if I had attempted to dance I would have looked like big bird from Sesame Street 😂

I think you would have to get yourself to that point by now to avoid further damage to your mental health.
I can't imagine how being that hated feels.

I think its just another reason for the unhinged to have a bash at them

Hollieandtheivie · 05/06/2025 11:38

I have no I'll will against them and I think she's a brilliant dancer but I still find it cringe. I just turned it off though and it hasn't done me any harm. 😆

MferMonsterSearchingForRedemption · 05/06/2025 11:38

She has the moves, that's for sure!

41 weeks pregnant and she still manages to look so naturally beautiful.

Sweet video, it's nice seeing people have fun and not taking themselves so seriously.

Pricelessadvice · 05/06/2025 11:39

Cringeworthy attention-seeking nonsense. Why did they feel the need to share it?
I’d find anyone sharing that kind of thing weird.

TheIceBear · 05/06/2025 11:41

Ugh I’m so sick of that song. I’m 38 weeks pregnant myself and actually left Facebook recently as my feed was full of reels of irritating heavily pregnancy “influencers” dancing around to that song. I don’t find it funny at all.

Just why TF not really

It's a bit of fun.

Well that’s one way of taking the focus off your four year old I guess.

My first thought was that weren’t they massive privacy advocators around that time? Are they now not into privacy?

Hoppinggreen · 05/06/2025 11:43

Attention seeking cringeworthy nonsense from people who claim they want to be left alone.

TasWair · 05/06/2025 11:44

It's not something I would do, but everyone doesn't have to be like me. They're very comfortable and fun together, and she seems very normal I think.
I find it really odd that people use this as a stick to beat them with when they say they want privacy. They are completely allowed to share what they feel comfortable with and keep other things private. We all do that! Just because you have a profile pic on fb doesn't mean that I'm allowed to take photos of you and your kind when you're out and about!

People are absolutely nuts when it comes to Harry and Meghan. I always think that it's a red flag about a person when they have so much vitriol about someone who's absolutely nothing to do with them, and not hurting anyone!

Yeh, fun for them in private. I genuinely don’t see any reason to share it because it’s not fun to other people, is it? Why would I want to see a random woman dancing and twerking?
Can people not just do things in private anymore? Why does everything have to be for social media ‘show’?

SummerEve · 05/06/2025 11:46

Several thoughts really.

1 - this will further damage their relationship with the Royals

2 - it’s desperately attention seeking

3- it seems entirely at odds with the life they say they want and their other attempts to control the media narrative.

4- they seem incapable of sticking with anything for more than 5 mins and then it’s onto the next thing. It’s all so haphazard.

SilviaSnuffleBum · 05/06/2025 11:46

It reminded me of being 36 weeks pregnant with my twins and doing the same type of video.
It was a bit of fun shared amongst a few friends and, actually, my skills were impressive considering how huge my bump was by then.

MaggieMistletoe · 05/06/2025 11:46

I find it mortifying for them both. My parents were younger and more beautiful to he honest, when they waited for my arrival. And yet I think they would still have looked bizarre, awkward and cringey doing this in the hospital, as anyone would. And I would feel embarrassed and perplexed watching it now, as Lilibet will do one day with this pair.
