To ask what you think of Meghan and Harry's "bump dance" video?

To mark Lilibet's 4th birthday, they've uploaded this video. I think it's cute and fun but the usual haters are out in force.

She clearly has a monitor on under her dress but people are claiming it's a pillow, and people are also claiming it's not possible to dance like that while heavily pregnant (it totally is, if you're in good shape)

Also the horrible comments from men saying she must have got a lot of practice in, giving lap dances on yachts

Don't really know what people's problem is with these two tbh.

I appear to have been living under a rock! I hadnt heard of False pregnancy rumours before .I just wonder why they put it out now? Meghan is milking her fame again. seems a little cringeworthy to me

There is harmless fun and there is tasteless, cringeworthy fun. Meghan's twerking is the second.

Do you think the old Queen would have approved of this video?

Probably not if they were still representing the Commonwealth!

AutumnLover1989 · 05/06/2025 16:06

It's a bit cringe isn't it 😬

I like it. It's fun and it made me smile. It comes across as very natural, a couple in tune with each other, not taking themselves too seriously, at a special moment in time. It's something I can imagine doing to get labour moving without intervention, had all my babies not come early.

It's something I actually did when my labour started. I had the Off the Wall album on loop all day.Grin Right up until I went to the hospital.

The neighbours and those visiting them for Sunday dinner must have thought I was mental.Blush

Maybe that's why they waited until now 😆

I've agreed with a lot of posters on this thread, apparently the laughing emoji is gone or I'd have used that too

I'm not British so have no skin in the game really except when it's shoved down my throat like this, I found it cringey & unnecessary to share with the world ostensibly to celebrate their daughters birthday 👀As for putting the moonbump rumours to bed? I'm not quite sure they've done that, if anything it's stoked the fire, they just seem to get it wrong all the time, does it impact our lives? No, but it also invites people (like me) to form an opinion & it's usually a bad one

I also find it insulting that if you have a negative opinion it's because you're lead & said by "the media" rather than having formulated your own opinions based on what has gone on before from mostly their own mouths

FoodAppropriation · 05/06/2025 15:58

I find them cute too, refreshing to see celebs not being completely full of themselves.

The funny thing is that positive opinion doesn't have the biggest impact on their post, but all the haters making a huge wave of what is basically a non event are giving them the publicity they need and keeping their brand current.

If people were just smiling or completely ignoring, it would have been largely ignored. The video is everywhere because people are talking about it. Brilliant move.

Why is it good it's everywhere?

Janiie · 05/06/2025 16:17

'The video is everywhere because people are talking about it. Brilliant move.'

Talking about it because they've made fools of themselves again.

It's like one of the many spoofs of their antics but nope, it's really them and they really thought it was a good idea to share gurning and dad dancing.

Iloveasunnyday · 05/06/2025 16:18

Dear god, I am cringing for the pair of them. Happy 4th Birthday Lilibet... here's a video of Mummy twerking. She wouldn't know class if it smacked her in the face.

Superhansrantowindsor · 05/06/2025 16:21

I’m surprised such a personal moment in someone’s life has now been seen by millions of people. It’s a bit ‘try to hard’ for me. Look at us! We are so normal. We are so in love!

I think it’s toe curlingly embarrassing.

sofiamofia · 05/06/2025 16:22

Who cares what the old Queen would have thought of it?

She was happy to cover up and pay out for Andrew so she's not someone I'd be looking to to approve anything. If an MP did for their son what she did for Andrew, the government would fall but because its the Windsors, people are happy to continue to curtsey while frothing over a happily married couple having a bit of fun.

KateShugakIsALegend · 05/06/2025 16:22

Attention -seeking behaviour.

Harmless, but not for me.

KakulasSister · 05/06/2025 16:23

Classy.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 05/06/2025 16:23

Tacky. Crass.

hotpotlover · 05/06/2025 16:23

I think she looked absolutely beautiful and effortless doing this dance at 41 weeks pregnant.

I'm 23 weeks pregnant currently and my feet were hurting today when I followed my 4 year old son on a soft ladder in an indoor playground today.

FoodAppropriation · 05/06/2025 16:25

It's my daughter's 4th birthday so here's a weird dancing video all about me.

Quite common for women to put photos of themselves, or videos, from around the birth when they celebrate the child's birthday.

You have to wonder why the birthday could possibly bring back these memories and photos. Puzzling. 😂

Azureshores · 05/06/2025 16:28

Is she pregnant again? Had no idea! Can't be arsed watching video either, I have absolutely zero interest in these two. Would always wish them health and happiness though, hatred should be saved for murderers and paedo's etc.

South Park nailed this pair

Nailed it, did that.

IOnlyWantSexMoneyPowerAndRevenge · 05/06/2025 16:32

I thought it was a bit cringy and then got distracted by a chocolate biscuit so promptly forgot about it.

Finteq · 05/06/2025 16:33

Cringeworthy

This 👏🏻

LivesinLondon2000 · 05/06/2025 16:36

Whatever about the actual dancing, the video is just so staged and self-conscious. You can tell they’re already thinking about when they’ll release it to the public at some future point.
Weird to be so concerned with your future instagram posts when you’re about to bring a new human into the world - why not just be in the moment? - but I guess it probably was a good form of distraction

Boomer55 · 05/06/2025 16:38

Usual attention seeking from the royals. Not interested in them. 🙄

Blinkingbother · 05/06/2025 16:40

For people who want privacy they sure put out a hell of a lot of unnecessarily personal guff.
