What risk does he present to the Windsors?
Every risk. He's a family member who will be privvy to a lot of information.
Well clearly not that much information or he would have sold a lot more books and been paid a lot more by Oprah.
He’s so daft the Queen would barely have trusted him to give the corgis a walk around the grounds.
And yet trusted to fly a Helicopter in a war zone
That’s really funny. Have you ever been out on a Saturday night in a town with a barracks in it? Some of those blokes are trusted with all sorts of military hardware. Operating a machine, even a helicopter, is training. You follow instructions. If A happens then you do B. All that means is that he can follow instructions when they’re drilled into him repeatedly. What it doesn’t do is give him the sense to know that he shouldn’t be talking about how many people he shot.
They certainly won’t have trusted him with any of the really dirty, dark secrets that probably do exist.
And how do you know this? He's a grandson and son of two monarchs and brother of an heir. Of course he knows the inner workings.
I don’t know this. It’s an opinion. That’s the whole point. Neither of us know anything. We both just have opinions. And my opinion is that if the people who organise the royal family are up to something nefarious, then they’re more than likely to want to keep it on a need to know basis. What they won’t be doing is sharing the really dirty, dark secrets with someone who was daft enough to a) dress up as a nazi and b) let himself be photographed doing it! Harry isn’t renowned for his discretion or his ability to keep things out of the public eye, is he?
And ‘they’ don’t need to throw anything at him. Every single bit of negative press his name has been attached to recently has been of his own making. How do you think ‘they’ have been causing him problems?
He explains all this quite clearly in his book and in several interviews. They feed negative stories to the press to keep the attention away from others and have been doing it since he was a child.
Oh well, why didn’t anyone say so earlier? If he explains it all in his book then it must be totally accurate. I’m sure nobody in the RF would have anything different to say. I have to say though, I’m slightly curious why, if they have that much power in the media, they didn’t do a better job of covering up any of the scandals that various members of the family have been involved with over the years? I’m pretty sure that the Queen wouldn’t have been over the moon to read about her DiL’s toes being sucked, while she was tucking into her bowl of cornflakes.
Because the only thing I can recall is declining to provide him with police protection.
Then you have absolutely not been paying attention because there have been dozens of negative stories.
I pop onto the Daily Mail website most days. They’re not H&M’s biggest fans, but if all these dozens of negative stories have passed me by, then clearly ‘they’ aren’t doing their job very well, are they? It’s almost like there’s no real commitment there?
And while I do sort of see his point, can you imagine the uproar if British tax payers money had been spent on providing protection for them? The couple who want no part of serving the country and don’t even want to live here?
It's not his fault one bit that he is in the public eye and everyone knows who he is. He was pushed onto the world stage as a kid, a baby even. it is absolutely owed to him to pay for his protection. I imagine there would be an uproar if the British Taxpayer was footing the bill because the press would be all over it, but I don't want to pay for security at EDL rallies either. I still have to because it's a large public event where there are going to be lots of people so secuirty to present as much as anywhere else.
I repeat, I do sort of see his point. But there are children of famous people all over the shop. Should the Beckhams children be given police protection? Should the Kardashians? Charles, Camilla, William and Kate have police protection. Everybody else manages just fine with bodyguards. If Madonna & Beyoncé can manage in London with just a few body guards, then I’m fairly sure Harry will cope. No, he didn’t ask to be born, but he’s an adult now. And police presence at EDL rallies is hardly comparable now, is it? They’re there because there will be guaranteed crimes committed between them and counter protesters if they don’t attend.
I don’t think you’ve thought this through.
Have you? Have you actually? because you seem very unaware of the full picture.
I’m very clearly not paying as much attention as you are. Perhaps you need a hobby. Crochet? Jogging?
