@mumsneedwine you certainly have pretended to be sceptical about people being doctors, then rubbished @wannabewitch 's qualifications. You have little regard for the truth. Other posters besides me will remember when you claimed not to believe that people were doctors. It's pathetic.

I've just looked at 'Wes' speech . I hope the juniors you are out on the lash with are hoping to be GPs, because 'Wes' intends to have no increase in consultant numbers. On the contrary, 'much of what is done in hospital today will be done on the High Street'. See how many laughs that gets.

wannabewitch · 19/06/2025 18:58

I have never questioned anyone being a doctor ? -er yes you have- me repeatedly!

A pool of doctors, is just a recreation of the lost tribe of SHOS that everyone has bemoaned for years. To just increase posts this year, will dilute everyones training and experience and lower standards over all for those who did get speciality training. Am not sure that is an answer to anything.
If we have a glut in 2 yrs time - as they finish CT training you are booting the problem down the road as there will not be enoiugh speiclaity jobs, to then increase jobs in 2 yrs time will create a problem in 5 yrs time as they CCT and not enough consultant jobs to go to.

There are 70 doctors in London who do not have an FY1 job - they are in more trouble than any FY2

mumsneedwine · 19/06/2025 19:02

@oddandelsewhere not me. I don’t even know wannabe’s qualifications? Did they post them ?

Again, your form of disagreement is attack and being unpleasant. Which is strange behaviour for a doctor.

Again, insult me all you want if it makes you feel better. And I agree, lack of consultants is just as awful - you acknowledge that as an issue, but not the lack of jobs for F2s. Why ? Because one affects you and one doesn’t ?

I am neither a liar or hysterical. It’s sunny, I have a beer and the swans are swimming on the Thames. Let’s not name call.

mumsneedwine · 19/06/2025 19:02

@wannabewitch quotes please

mumsneedwine · 19/06/2025 19:03

@wannabewitch good you agree that the lack of jobs is a disgrace. Whether F1/2/3 or consultant.

I am dubious about Wannabe due to some of the posts. Other posters have also queried some of wannabes posts accuracy.

How do you know what the truth is? What is pathetic about being cautious about believing what someone says when multiple posts seem to be quite out of touch? Unless you know Wannabe personally?

🤷‍♀️ the attack mode is strange. I’m accused of all
sorts but I have to ‘be kind’ back. V NHS 😂

mumsneedwine · 19/06/2025 19:27

@oddandelsewhere I’m not out with any ‘juniors’ (again, rude, they are residents as you know). All of them are consultants tonight. I’m far too old to go out with youngsters. Love the idea of us being ‘on the lash’. We all have work at 7am.

I certainly wasn’t suggesting that what I think the government might do is a great solution to anything.

But I do think a pool of forever SHOs #II is a distinct possibility.

mumsneedwine it really couldn’t matter less whether people refer to residents or juniors. Every single person here understands what’s meant. It’s so childish to insist on the new terminology to try to show you’re down with the kids.

mumsneedwine · 19/06/2025 19:44

@Sevillian it matters a lot ! Any resident doctor will tell you that. How can you not know that ?! Again, attack with the ‘childish’. You are v v obviously not a doctor - not questioning it, stating it as fact.

mumsneedwine · 19/06/2025 19:45

Down with the kids 😂😂😂😂😂. What does that even mean ? Not heard it since 1980s. Don’t deep it. I just ate the chat.

They will find no-one applying for medicschool. 100k in debt with a further 150k of interest to be a forever sho? Who if anyone will get the training posts?

So many doctors below consultant level couldn't give a toss whether people refer to them as juniors or residents. It's not any kind of a deal.

mumsneedwine · 19/06/2025 19:51

Even with Full FPR they’ll earn less than their assistants

mumsneedwine · 19/06/2025 19:52

@Sevillian yes it is. But you know best obviously. The BMA, DV etc are all wrong.

mumsneedwine · 19/06/2025 19:56

Junior is now only used by people trying to put them down. Which is strange behaviour from a consultant paid to train them. Respecting your staff and colleagues should be the simplest thing to start with.

mumsneedwine · 19/06/2025 19:57

Awaiting newest insult. I should make a bingo card 😊

mumsneedwine · 19/06/2025 20:01

They really are stupid. This will make anyone who was on the fence vote yes. The NHS hates doctors

It’s about pay. But it’s valid in many areas

mumsneedwine why haven't you got super emotional about the thread title in that case? You don't even appear to have noticed it.

Sevillian · 19/06/2025 21:06

The NHS hates doctors

Wtf does this even mean?

wannabewitch · 19/06/2025 21:31

t’s sad that a supposed consultant does not see the issues for their residents. But that’s how we ended up in this mess.

mumsneedwine · 19/06/2025 21:33

@Sevillian not my thread title. 🤷‍♀️

mumsneedwine · 19/06/2025 21:34

And was mentioned many days ago.
