Following on from my romance scammers thread, I'd like to see the justifications for this

Idots? They are abusive and shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a vulnerable adult.

Oh come off it. Not every single "blow up doll" type has been sexually abused. Katie price said she had. Katie price also said 6 men raped her in south Africa. The camera men said differently.

I didn’t say it’s true in every case. Just that taking it into account would be a good idea.

Behaviour sometimes has causes.

What maniac thought it was ok to have female officers in male prisons in the first place?!

I suppose it might be a form of this.

The strangest one must surely be the ex nun, turned prison guard, Trisha Cairns who had some kind of long running relationship with Myra Hindley. Apparently the plan was that Myra would be set free and they would both go to Brazil to work as missionnaries.

There are lots of benefits. As I say, a lot of my best officers are female because they aren't trying to be all macho and testosterone-filled, and theyre able to talk angry or distressed prisoners round better than many men. Lots of prisoners respond well to female staff, because they have had terrible experiences with men, and find women less threatening.

Hand on heart though, I've never looked at any prisoner and thought, "phwoarr, I'd throw it all away for him". I genuinely don't get what goes through the minds of women who do.

I stand by the point I’ve made. You can’t pick and choose when a 21 year old woman is vulnerable.

Eh? Of course you can- it entirely depends on the context

I think there’s a good case for male only prison officers in men’s prisons.

No thanks!

JHound · 19/05/2025 21:22

Ages ago I joined one of those FB “Are we dating the same guy” type groups.

I realised a shockingly high number of women like criminals. Complete morons.

It works well for the majority Thank you very much!

In the context of the 21 year old prison officer, mentioned in the post, she is not vulnerable. Did she make shit decisions yes. But I stand by what I said. We’re talking about female prisoner officers in general, not the most vulnerable of society. They would need to have at least GCSES or other qualifications to get the job and be competent mentally and emotionally as well. So no. Not vulnerable.

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 19/05/2025 19:18

I think that people who join to be a prison officer anyway can't be doing it for the love of justice

I just assume a lot of sign ups are connected to the criminals

They aren’t

Ellmau · 19/05/2025 21:31

It seems there must be something very wrong at recruitment level. Is it because the prison service is so desperate for staff that entirely unsuitable people are accepted for want of anyone better? How ca that be changed?

Cucy · 19/05/2025 21:33

The first lady you posted intentionally went to work in a prison to create porn.
She is an onlyfans ‘star’ and wanted more viewers, which she got.

The issue with people who typically work in prisons is you’re there either because you think people should be punished and want to belittle people (this is where you may get your abusive officers) or you think prisoners should be helped and you have compassion for them (this is where there’s a risk of getting emotionally attached).

A lot of people who work in prisons are damaged or have had difficult upbringings (I include myself in that).
It does take a certain person to work in a prison.
So it’s very easy for some people to switch sides and ‘help out’ someone who is struggling.

Staff do get manipulated but I think more often than not, the staff member is a fully participating person and the only time the manipulation card comes out is when they get caught.

I think the actual work atmosphere doesn’t help.
Its a high pressure, high stress job, with a high staff turnover and a recent report said it’s a job with one of highest levels of bullying, abuse and sexual misconduct - this is just from the staff.

My department is fantastic and supportive which is apparently pretty rare for a prison and because of that I think we are all less likely to want to do anything wrong or get into a position where we are coerced.

SALaw · 19/05/2025 21:34

Well course they are and there isn’t a justification. Why the post?

MintChocCat · 19/05/2025 21:35

I used to work in a medium secure unit for offenders, and part of their rehabilitation is about being around a mix of male & female health care workers and nursing staff. It’s with this lens that I can see it being helpful in a prison setting too.

I think there should be a stricter vetting or recruitment process into these positions, but I am sure it is quite difficult recruiting prison officers in general.

Im really shocked at that female prison officer who wanted to fall pregnant with a child rapist - cannot understand that AT ALL.

YourAmplePlumPoster · 19/05/2025 17:50

This one did it to go viral and promote her only fans. Yes, utterly bonkers, but a seemingly calculated move on her part.

XWKD · 19/05/2025 21:44

Why are some people treating her as the vulnerable one? She abused her authority and her position of power.

TheWisePlumDuck · 19/05/2025 21:46

You must always keep in mind that half of people are below average intelligence.

My father told me that, and I stopped being baffled a long time ago by the seemingly illogical and stupid behaviour of many.

bumblingbovine49 · 19/05/2025 21:50

Devilsmommy · 19/05/2025 18:46

I get what you're saying but a female officer can't rape a prisoner like a male officer could. That's the difference I think

She is nonetheless in a position of power over the inmate. How she chooses to exercise that power is key. No one is suggesting this is rape.

What would you say if a male guard were having sex with a male prisoner?. Who is taking advantage of who?

Obviously there is a disparity of power between a man and a woman, particularly a manipulative older man and a younger more naive woman but a prison guard really is in charge in a prison, not the inmate .

In this case the guard abused her power by having sex with one of the prisoners.

I am not suggesting it was the case here but do you think a prisoner , even a male one, would be able to say no to a female guard offering sex, even if he didn't want sex with her? I think he would find it difficult to refuse in case he got on the wrong side of a guard.

These women guards are not children and are responsible for their actions.

Yes I dont necessarily think she’s vulnerable tbf. I just objected to the comparison with the teacher/ teenager.

jackdunnock · 19/05/2025 22:10

Not idiots, they know exactly what they're doing - exploiting prisoners for cheap sexual thrills. Just the same as if it were male prison officers with female prisoners.

Panterusblackish · 19/05/2025 22:16

YourAmplePlumPoster · 19/05/2025 18:23

No they're not if they follow the rules. First, do not ever divulge any personal information to prisoners as they have many friends outside. Believe me, they will try asking about your private life. Number 2, don't get personally involved.

Yes they can be groomed, otherwise these cases wouldn't happen. These women aren't another species as .such as some posts try to other them.

A family member is in a senior prison service role. Started as a normal prison officer. Has worked with the worst offenders.

He's very experienced and says that many offenders are extremely charming and extremely manipulative.

Youstolemygoddamnhouse · 19/05/2025 22:16

Blessthismess2 · 19/05/2025 22:03

Yes I dont necessarily think she’s vulnerable tbf. I just objected to the comparison with the teacher/ teenager.

The comparison was that not all 21 year old women are vulnerable. Hence there have been cases where young adult female teacher's have had sex with pupils. Loads of stories come out all the time in the press about this. No one is calling these women vulnerable. Not all 21 year olds are the same.

Youstolemygoddamnhouse · 19/05/2025 22:19

For those calling the 21 year old vulnerable would you think the same if a 21 year old man was going round shagging female prisoners? I highly doubt it.

LambriniBobInIsleworthISeesYa · 19/05/2025 23:04

Okay that makes some sense and answers my question about the ones who actively knew they were being filmed shagging. Because you’d think if you were going to do it you’d at least not be that stupid, but clearly it’s a money spinner online. And that is fucking depressing. I don’t actually know what’s worse, the women who think that they’re in love with these low-lives or the ones doing it for OnlyFans. Christ.
