To still send this video?

I took a video whilst on holiday for my mum and my grandma. It is something they both have a huge interest in but will never get to see in person. Unfortunately half way through the video DH does a huge fart which is very clear and obvious. No reference is made to it and the video continues as normal.
WIBU to still send the video to them? They know it exists and are wondering why I’ve not sent it yet.

I just blurted out a laugh at both fart gate and the fact that it’s on here - knowing that at some point someone is going to say OP for that level of disrespect directed at your family you 💯 need to LTB !!!!!

I should have explained better in my OP

The sound I was recording was not something most people would record - plus it was quiet so not obvious. DH was watching TV, didn’t realise I was recording and did a huge fart. It’s not like he said “are you recording? Here … listen to this …” etc

I carried on recording but afterwards told him that his fart was captured on my recording. He asked me not to send it to anyone as it was embarrassing but I really want to send them the video, I promised I’d do it for them if I got the opportunity

Can't you split the video into two, clip one pre-fart and clip two post-fart? Just say you had a technical issue in the interval.

Your DH can help since he caused all this trouble!

I don’t think so, you can clearly hear the TV talking about the pope so that loud racket sounds very out of place 😂

Just tell them you did not, in fact, get the opportunity, then.

This is a lot of angst over something that is in no way a big deal.

Are you joking? It's literally a bodily function. I'd rather people fart than hold it in and be uncomfortable.

OP, it's very easy to edit out. I can do it if you PM me the video, but obviously I see why you wouldn't want to send it out :).

So you knew at the time that DH has done a massive fart which was audible? Why on earth didn't you then:

  • re-record whatever it was?
  • why then tell you mum/grandma you had a recording? Surely you just wouldn't mention it???

An environment quiet enough to capture aforesaid blow off …

So…what on earth had you set up to film- that cannot be restaged and recaptured ?

As it presumably wasn’t a spontaneous whipping out of the camera - as you say people were anticipating the video?

Intrigued now…

Just clip the fart section out of the video. Unless it was a freakishly prolonged fart it would just be like 1 second out of the recording removed.

No I wouldn’t send it. I wouldn’t want my mum and grandmother knowing that I was sitting on a balcony trying to record a rare bird for them or whatever while my husband was ripping ass in the room behind me. 😂
