Why is Alice Evans Gruffudd homeless?

Doesn’t she have any famous friends? Where has all her money gone? Does she have to live in L.A? It just all seems bizarre, just move somewhere cheaper.

I don't like either of this ex couple tbh. There was an article recently about her doing coke in front of the kids and bizarrely offering it to her children. I don't know how that can be true but coke does make people act like idiots, so maybe?

Ioan is certainly no prince though. It's all a bit sad. I quite liked him in Hornblower (think that was him). Haven't seen him in anything since that bit part in titanic. I'm honestly surprised they could ever afford the LA lifestyle! But maybe he's more famous than I realised

It's an awful situation. People's circumstances DO change for the worse, I'm sure quite a few of us have been through that. It's not nice but it happens.

Alice has to accept she needs a more frugal lifestyle.

I took it that he wanted to split up, she didn't.
They split.
She loses nice easy life.
He gets younger woman.
A year isnt going to soften the blow, she will be creating all kinds of scenarios like was he cheating - which destroys her past

Not everyone is resilient or has support. She put up a fight to try to keep the life she had. He is not anywhere rich enough to support that and why should he, he has a new life.

She lost the life she knew & the future she thought she was going to have.

On top of that she she seems to have a lot of followers support/hating all egging her on.

It easy to say move on but it's not that easy.

It does. Been there (tho it was richer woman, not younger). But my focus was on the children, and no one, no one ever saw any deranged behaviour from me, even though I was truly thinking of self harm and was financially and emotionally devastated.
My three children came through it all well adjusted. It was absolutely worth it.

She’s an abusive, alcoholic, junkie who was/is still abusive, to both her ex husband and her two children. The, many, court transcripts make for a very distrusting read.

I think she’s awful and those poor children of hers deserve better. It’s embarrassing that she’s now scamming her dolt followers for cash.

I dont know why she just doesn't go in the bb house next time or bag a tell all book deal. I would 🤣

He was Hornblower back in the day. I’d say that was his most well known role.

She was unceremoniously dumped and has totally failed accept or to move on and quite obviously needs some professional help. He however, whatever the circs, chose to prioritise his next leaner younger model over his kids which makes him a complete tosser too. Poor, poor children.

It was sold when they divorced so they could split assets. Unfortunately she dragged this out at a point where financially they were struggling. She insisted on keeping a full time nanny for two children of school age, despite her not working. His ‘mistress’ ( I think you mean now wife, at the time girlfriend) actually paid all rent whilst this was happening, as he was paying the mortgage, all bills, credit cards for Alice and giving her money for the girls.

She would have had a healthy chunk if she hadn’t decided to let hate take over. But they both still walked away with sizeable pots. She just blew hers on renting an unnecessarily obscene rent, luxury items and bitterness.

She was literally issued with a Gavron Warning, which basically means the judge saying you aren’t entitled to live off your ex forever, you need to make prove-able efforts to find employment.

Also, FYI, his ex’s rent is substantially less than hers. Know this from her own legal filing for more money two weeks ago. Where she included details of his residence, DESPITE having a DVRO.

God that is horrific! I did read some things about her even when they were together, and she sounds controlling and abusive. People are allowed to leave unhappy marriages. It sounds like he was trapped in an abusive marriage, met someone else and left. He didnt string her along with an affair. She's gone full nuclear since then.

I hate gossip about people I have never met but I once read that Alice refused Harvey Weinstein's advances. Weinstein told her that he would make sure that both her and her husband would "never work in Hollywood again".
I later read an interview with Ioan that he had struggled to get acting parts and became depressed because he couldn't support his wife and children.
I have no idea how true any of this is but if it is it's appalling how one (pervert) Hollywood producer can have that much influence.

I had sympathy for her at the beginning. Then I read the legal filings and whilst I don’t think Ioan has behaved without fault, she’s an absolute horror.

His most recent filing for a permanent DVRO is horrendous.

She's a nutter, that doesn't help. And apparently allergic to any work that isn't acting, which is a problem now the acting gigs appear to have dried up.

You left out "Wife doesn't make any effort to support herself and children, spends money drink, drugs and hopeless legal cases, wife is violent towards man and new girlfriend and has to have repeated restraining orders which she keeps breaking." And there are no replacement kids. If it were the other way round, women of MN would have no hesitation in vilifying the husband.

If a man acted like her people would be a LOT less sympathetic. There would be no "oh, he's clearly devastated, he needs therapy" - it would be "he's very obviously abusive and dangerous and his behaviour is terrible".

She would have been better off acting with dignity,getting a job and non of this drama but her type don't do that

Dps ex wife is exactly the same (but without the platform thankfully)

Are you joking? AE was and is an abuser. Her ex husband has a restraining order against her because she has been abusive.

I don’t doubt he left her for someone else but that is never, ever an excuse to abuse and terrorise your ex.
