Doesn’t she have any famous friends? Where has all her money gone? Does she have to live in L.A? It just all seems bizarre, just move somewhere cheaper.

OonaStubbs · 16/05/2025 23:34

There are plenty of jobs in Los Angeles. Why can't she get one of them?

SapphireBeach · 16/05/2025 23:34

Munnygirl · 16/05/2025 23:24

Yes

There's not enough time in the day for me to spoon feed a lazy loser. You can read, Alice, go find and read.

She's not allergic? Why won't she work now?

Unfortunately, she’s got herself locked in a destructive cycle of damn him, and that strumpet stole her man.
Spaffed too much money on vexatious legal dispute with the ex
Has lost her sense of perspective and it’s genuinely v sad

Oh come on just this once. You don’t seem to understand that I’m not Alice. It’s a bit peculiar why you think I am.

Or Alice starts dating and having suitors over at the weekend whist the girls go and see their favourite stepmom.

Alice is trying to bonk some young man's brains out but the girls keep phoning to be picked back up, too late they've done a runner and are heading back, Alice tries to scoot the guy out.

Further down the line she meets a lovely bloke involved in the film industry who woos her and is introduced to the girls.
They love him, he's rich and influencial and very soon they are doing things as a family.

Ioan isn't very happy.
Bianca's not happy that Ioan appears unhappy and seeming jealous.

What stands out most for me is the idea that it’s important to note New Dad is “rich and influential”.

No one cares about that. Truly. Alice needs to find work and show that she can support herself. If she meets a nice guy, great - he can work at the local library as far as most people would care, as long as he’s kind to the girls and encourages their relationship with their father. Rich and influential is only important if you’re still fixated on the idea of status, and that sort of mindset is poison for happiness.

@Munnygirl has completely sidetracked the thread and we’re now just responding to nonsense instead of actually talking about what this thread is about.

Very clever!

I doubt anyone will date you Alice. You’re shaped like a sausage roll.

Munnygirl · 16/05/2025 23:39

Good night girls. It’s been fun and informative all at the same timeSee you all tomorrow. And I’m really not Alice. I’ve doubled checked with my DH just to be sure 😘

Nicknacky · 16/05/2025 22:26

He left his wife. People are allowed to leave unhappy marriages unless you think they shouldn’t be allowed to?

Totally agree - the other poster seems to think that people who are unhappy in a marriage should be shackled to the other person for ever. Which is absurd. The whole point of no-fault divorce is that people can leave a marriage for any reason whatsoever - or no reason at all. Which means the proper place for complaining about someone's infidelity is with one's therapist (in whatever form that therapist might take - be it a professional shrink; religious guidance; neutral third parties who can actually be objective etc) not in the courtroom.

I think it's been clear throughout that Alice is trying to get naive people to give her money via GFM even though she already receives more than enough money to rent a perfectly nice place in LA. If by "clever" you mean "thicker than mince" and/or "social skills of a flatulent skunk" then sure - that peculiar poster was very very very "clever" 😂

The only reality show Alice will ever feature in :
Cut to dingy one bedroom flat. Alice is splayed in bed drinking out the bottle in her weeks old unwashed nightie, her 3 hairs plastered to her puffy face. She has 102 Dalmatian’s playing on a loop. She ignores the sound of the bailiffs outside, forcing the lock while she rewinds and replays the kiss.

“One day you’ll wake up and come back to me” she yells at the screen as the bailiff bursts in - “One day”.
Scene cuts to a charming ranch house with Ioan & Bianca, Ella and Elsie and their partners and children and Ioan & Bianca’s young adult daughter. Ioan looks at Bianca in her wheelchair and says with glistening eyes “My love, thank you for 25 wonderful years.i I love you today more than I thought possible, you make life worth living every day”. They all raise glasses and toast to happy couple who have got stronger together through the years.

Mnio · 16/05/2025 23:31

I bet Ioan wishes she would meet a rich new man, maybe she would have less time and will to harass him then!

Yes he will especially when they start calling the boyfriend dad and start calling their dad, Ioan.
Happy days.

That's further down the line in series two.

Well she did tell her daughter she was going to find them a new daddy whilst Ioan was still in the marriage- perhaps that was her plan all along and it's just taking her a while to get there!

In all seriousness, the poor kids have got a dad who has tried to maintain a relationship with them and at the least keep them in education. No one will ever replace their dad.

”I’m going to find a rich, influential man and have the girls call him Dad and call their father by his first name” is how a teenager would imagine making a future ex jealous. It’s cartoonish and transparent. Why are you like this.
