Doesn’t she have any famous friends? Where has all her money gone? Does she have to live in L.A? It just all seems bizarre, just move somewhere cheaper.

It's weird how fiercely women on here defend him. And how quick they are to believe him. It just shows the amazing power of being a handsome (to some) Hollywood B lister.

People are fiercely defending him because it’s actual madness that this has gone on for so long and the fact that Ioan has a huge back catalogue of actual evidence to back up his claims AND the fact that Alice has a domestic violence restraining order against her yet still people defend her.

If the genders were reversed there is no way a man would get away with this behaviour and it’s infuriating to witness.

I for one had never even heard of Ioan or Alice before I discovered this whole saga. I had no preconceived opinions on anyone involved and I now base my opinions purely on court documents, evidence and facts.

These threads are always weird. I’ve never known such a bang average man have such an army of women obsessed with hating his ex wife.

I can’t speak for all the women on here but I don’t ‘hate’ her.

I’m not going to pretend I like her though - watching domestic abuse of a partner and defenceless children play out over literal years isn’t pleasant.

Most DV cases aren’t nearly so public and the abuser isn’t so blatant in their DARVO. Which in my view is why this case gets commented on more than most.

Edited to say: And most cases don’t have the truth easily available in public court documents.

He is a total plank and his public displays of affection are vomit inducing. So fake

what does "total plank" mean?

And now it’s hit the Daily Mail. Where her good friend works for the showbiz site. Where forensic accountants found payments from to her. Where they published excerpts previously from a court hearing before they were available to download online. So someone fed them to them…

Anyone remember the old, old IMDB comments boards? I'm talking fifteen + years ago? I remember - literally decades ago - seeing a thread on Ioan's page where someone claiming to be AE was going hard on a poster who was criticising his choice of partner. I remember thinking LOL as if it's her! As if anyone that famous would be getting into ongoing arguments with randoms on the internet! - this was back when internet was something you whiled away an hour or two on if you were young and bored, rather than lived your life via like today. Looking at the AE of the last few years, now I think it very likely that it was her. 😬😂

It was her. She alienated Ioan's fans. She even penned a letter to them, from 'him', signed by 'him', where she tells everyone to back off lol. Alice has a lot of free time and gets off on meddling like that. It was definitely her. To this day you can look at any Daily Mail article and see her commenting pretending to be someone else (sharing details only she would know).

@ThisCyanPoet I can’t imagine that this was just sprung on the them or that they were not ok/in agreement with meeting her. It would have all been carefully planned.

I've read the chaperone's (psychologist's) statement. The girls were there for a visit but despite the youngest having a gymnastics lesson, Alice didn't drop her uniform off. So Ioan took the girls and chaperone to a shopping mall to buy new ones so the youngest didn't miss the lesson. Both girls were horrible to him throughout the visit with AE ringing to talk to them and them demanding to go home. They were taken to the class but refused to attend so he took them back to the apartment and Bianca was there. The eldest poured milk over his bed, the squirted yellow mustard all over the kitchen before they both ran out of the place with I and B trying to hunt them down. The alleged incident supposedly happened in the apartment but the chaperone refutes it.

So I think they'd met her before but the change of plans to suddenly be in the apartment with her there were because they'd refused to go to what was organised. I think the psychologist suggested more familiar setting so they went back to his shared place.

YellowDuster12 · 15/05/2025 13:10

I'm conscious that anyone seeing this who hasn't heard of either of them (as I hadn't before this saga) may be thinking 'wow, they're painting this Alice as the devil, it must be an exaggeration'

Sadly, it is not an exaggeration. She is truly that dark a character.

Alice ringing her eldest and shouting loudly over the phone when Ioan was with his girls 'now darling, if he does ANYTHING that makes you uncomfortable, just ring me and get out of there', when he has been nothing but a loving, caring father. Genuinely so sickening.

You’re totally missing the point. People are so outraged by this situation because Alice is a domestic abuser and has alienated her children from their father (all of which is court documented and not just assumed) and she’s able to get away with it still because she’s female.

If the genders were reverted she would be jailed by now.

Victims are not always female.

Was that related to the fan site he funded? He withdrew financial support after fans complained about her.

Can't remember precise deets. It was well before they got married.

It's a bit weird that someone wouldn't believe him with the overwhelming amount of evidence to prove that she's abusive to him and their children.

Because she's a woman? Because he's accused of having an affair? How do either of those stack up against her behavior?

I’m not particularly a fan, never really watched anything of his. Why assume it’s because we’re fans and not because of Alice’s determination to keep the spotlight on their divorce? That’s why it’s so discussed…

Alice’s socks are always so delusional

What do you mean by ‘the chaperone refutes it’ - is the chaperone saying it didn’t happen? Or that it happened elsewhere? Apologies, confused by that

WatchAnXFilesWithNoLightsOn · 15/05/2025 13:15

@BrightBrickSnail So the eldest daughter alleged that Bianca hit her. However, this was during a visit where the chaperone was in attendance.

The chaperone outlined the entire visit and saw no evidence of any assault. A neighbour also witnessed the girls leaving the apartment when it supposedly happened and also denies it.

What gets me is that recently she’s been all over the family court/abused mum pages on instagram liking all the posts and commenting how her situation is just the same. Its disgusting, they should be calling her out/blocking her.

CandidHedgehog · 15/05/2025 13:21

I generally think ‘parental alienation’ gets thrown around far too easily. No, deadbeat Dad, your children not wanting to live with you 50% of the time after you haven’t been in touch for two years is not parental alienation.

However this is classic parental alienation. It also shows how hard it is for the other parent to combat. Ioan’s children were literally physically endangering themselves and were accusing him of verifiably untrue criminal offences (the assault) at the instigation of their mother and she still has full custody because anything else would damage the children further.

If you want some insight in to the madness of this woman’s mind- she has an etsy shop. These are bags she has tried to sell for £100+

It’s such a shame as Alice seems very bright (speaks multiple languages), is attractive and seems a reasonably talented actress - so even considering how brutal Hollywood is to middle aged women, she should be able to get enough work in bit parts on TV (as she did before the split with Ioan) to earn enough to support herself , along with the child support from her ex. And whatever issues she may have had (causing her to be estranged from her family and seemingly having few friends), she was clearly able to hide it well enough to get work in the past.

But all her ranting about her Ex and his new wife on social media, and the exposure of all her dirty laundry via constant court motions (revealing her emotional abuse and stalking of her Ex) - it’s going to put every casting director off, as it’s not like there’s a shortage of actresses.

I completely believe her that Ioan likely cheated, and he certainly moved in his new partner quickly during Covid even knowing it would upset his kids - so he’s clearly not father of the year. But she’s damaged her own career as well as his to a lesser extent - so now there’s going to be even less money coming in to support her family .

It’s really sad for the kids that both parents seem to have failed them - Dad has quickly moved on with his new younger wife, Mum seems to be in the grips of some sort of mental illness (because the behaviour in the court papers isn’t just “woman scorned”).

Imonlyhappywhenitrains · 15/05/2025 13:27

I do really feel for her in one regard. If you look at old footage of her when she was on French TV, she was STUNNINGLY beautiful. Not pretty, not attractive, not well-groomed or 'scrubs up well' - these are very achievable for most of us, even as we age - no, AE was properly beautiful - with a statuesque figure also.
It will have got her A LOT of social privilege, she had the sort of looks where simply walking past an acting/modelling agency would have had them chasing her down the street to sign her up! The sort of looks rockstars write anthems for, and wealthy oil princes marry. To lose that sort of power- and she clearly has- would mess most people up.

So you can turn a blind eye to an abuser who has a restraining order against her and who continues to violate that order because she was once in your opinion pretty?

Would you excuse a male abuser of their crimes because you thought they were handsome?

What an odd angle to look at this from. A persons looks has nothing to do with their behaviour and actions.

Imonlyhappywhenitrains · 15/05/2025 13:35

I've just been on her Instagram and was pleasantly surprised how different and well she looks, compared to the last few years. She looks recognisably like her old self and very pretty. Good for her! Hopefully she can move on and do well.

Husband divorces wife.

Husband stops paying enough money for his offspring to continue life as normal.

Wife complains in undignified fashion. Man gets Turkey teeth, a younger model and (doubtless) replacement kids.

Women of mumsnet vilify the ex-wife.

This. Starting a post just so people could dump on her more is hideous.

I have no idea who they are, but if she is an addict with mental health issues, as some are suggesting that just makes this way worse.

I’ve never met him so can’t comment on what he’s like as a person. I have however met and had dealings with her, and can attest to the fact that the behavior she exhibits isn’t in any way new. There’s more of a spotlight on it now, but Alice has been deeply unpleasant for years.

You don’t have to like her ex husband or be driven to defend him in order to dislike Alice and take issue with her behavior.
