Why is Alice Evans Gruffudd homeless?

Doesn’t she have any famous friends? Where has all her money gone? Does she have to live in L.A? It just all seems bizarre, just move somewhere cheaper.

This thread illustrates clearly the consept of “a perfect victim”. Ioan has been under a sustained and prolonged hounding for years now but god forbid he may have made some errors or crack under the stress. He is only a human and the stress of targeted attacks must have been unbearable at times.

Not at all, I've not really followed the case, you're reading far much into my motivation. I'm not really interested in celebrities private lives at all. It was merely an observation!

She has a domestic violence restraining order against her and the renewal for that order has just been taken to court. Her ex has over five thousand pieces of evidence to show how she’s violated that order in the past two years.

If you haven’t researched the evidence don’t just jump to the “poor woman leave her alone” narrative.

Yet again, if the genders were reversed you’d be saying that Alice was a piece of shit and you’d be livid she was getting away with this abuse yet because she’s a woman people think she couldn’t possibly be in the wrong.

I think everyone is hoping that she will move on.

Unfortunately pap photos of her out and about and from the cons show that unfortunately she does not look like that now. The Instagram is very heavily filtered.

Oh, and he hasn’t been underpaying her btw. In fact he overpaid her by over £200,000, considering he was only required to pay 10% of his average earnings over a three year period.

So during the time she was panhandling online she got approximately £300,000 in support payments. She also got her share of the house sale.

Why doesn't she move back to the UK and live cheaply near family?

Her parents are dead and her daughters are American born (so is she).

I can see why she wouldn't want to return to the UK. But her current living arrangements are unsustainable.

Does she have family to live near? I know her mother is deceased but we never hear about her relationship with any other relatives.

Actually, maybe I’ve missed where someone has said it (as I’ve skipped the odd page) but rather than comparing Alice to Jennifer Aniston as was done earlier in thread a better comparison fame and nationality wise might be someone like Tamzin Outhwaite. She has daughters of a similar age with Tom Ellis and he cheated on her, left her and has since gone on to marry a much younger woman.

But Tamzin seems to have mostly gone the dignified silence route with only a few mentions of what happened in the media and she is still working regularly, the girls still seem to see their father and in theory Tamzin should have £££ in child support since he went on to have a big career in the US with Lucifer. If Alice had played it smarter, maybe Ioan could have done the same with Harrow or similar and Alice would have the money she wants.

I know people were suggesting this to her a few years ago, especially after her appearance on Lorraine. She could have done the Loose Women/morning show type-thing and made some income that way. Her money would go much further here. She also has a brother living in the UK who she seems to be in close contact with.

I'm still not sure why she feels she has to be based in LA, considering she has no career there, and her girls have been pulled out of/changed schools in recent years.

Her father isn't dead, he is estranged from Alice due to her behaviour. There is a pattern here.

Her father isn’t dead he has just cut her out (shock) same with her brother. The only family who still speaks to her is her other brother.

Why is it that when women are abusers and behave atrociously they have poor mental health and need help whereas when a man does it, he’s just a total shit? She sounds vile-and all this about needing g help just does people who really have got mental

I agree. Imagine if a man had violated a restraint order 5000 times. Not one of the Alice defenders would be defending that. But somehow Ioan is unreasonable and “clearly not a father of the year” - to quote a PP. If a woman had cracked under a prolonged hounding by her ex-DH, no-one would be wanging on here that she’s “clearly not a mother of the year”.

I think she has always been a grifter, using and manipulating people to get what she wants until something better came along.

She was engaged to Olivier Picasso until Ioan came along and she ran off with him. She had an affair with her cast mate on TVD whilst married to Ioan, but of course she doesn’t mention this when screaming about Ioan having one with Bianca (which I don’t believe he did).

She’s made a career out of sitting at home all day/night and fighting with people on the internet whilst drunk and using cocaine. The nanny looked after the children when Ioan was away earning the money.

There’s a video of her online crashing into someone’s parked car and then getting out and screaming at them for being parked in an actual parking space.

She interrupted nearly all of the therapy sessions that Ioan had with the girls, throwing herself on the floor and even calling an ambulance.

Shes lied on her gofundme to take money from the general public, whi had less money than her in their own bank accounts.

She sold stories to the mail via her BFF Alison Boshoff - Earned thousands whilst pleading poverty and caring not one bit for the humiliation she caused her children and how it would impact them. No wonder the older one dropped out of school.

She’s created fake SM profiles and used them to harass and abuse her ex and his new wife, along with anyone who dares to comment on her posts that they don’t agree with her behaviour. One man was threatened with having his baby’s legs broken!

She won’t get a regular job because it’s beneath her, yet on her latest filing has suggested that this is what Ioan should do to further fund her lifestyle.

She deliberately bounced cheques and ignored her bills and then starting having them sent to Ioan’s house.

She made it impossible for him to have a relationship with the children and when he surrendered, she changed her abuse from “he won’t leave them alone, they don’t want to see him” to “he’s just walked away and ignores them, how can a father do this to their children”.

Make no mistake - Alice Evans is toxic through and through, it’s disgusting what she has put her children and Ioan though all because he left an abusive marriage. The evidence is all over the internet for everyone to see and people need to wake up, stop supporting/sympathising/excusing this manipulative bully. She is not having a breakdown, she’s always been a horrible person and she is furious that he escaped.

Not being rude, but it doesn’t make any sense to chime in defending her if you “don’t know who they are” - maybe if you did then you’d know about the history of abuse he has suffered and it seems their children have at her hands. Don’t hate her, don’t wish her any ill will, in fact it’s the opposite, I really hope she turns her life around and is happy, because the toxic situation is terrible for all involved, especially the kids.

This just goes to show beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You may think she’s rock-ballad worthy, and while I agree she is good-looking I wouldn’t call her stunningly beautiful. Her features seem too large for her face imo, but maybe that has something to do with that red lipstick she always wears.

And you know this how? There is nothing to suggest he was not in touch with his kids and Alice before she found out about his affair!

I think what Alice has done shows she is clearly in the grip of a mental illness - I said that. But I said Ioan wasn’t “father of the year” because he moved in his new partner when his daughters were obviously struggling and should have been his priority, rather than a new relationship.

As a single parent, it pisses me off when any parent (male or female) doesn’t put their children before their partner. We choose to have children, if you can’t manage to put them first for a couple of decades of your life, then you shouldn’t have them imo.

None of this makes Alice Evans a good person or what she has done okay - but there are children in this mess who should have been both their parents first priority.
