Neighbour bbq smoke

Hi. My neighbour round the back has a raised bbq area. He has bbqs twice a day, not kidding. It’s getting a bit too much. The smell of the smoke is making me feel sick. We don’t get on with him as it is. So speaking to him is out the question. My washing constantly smells of smoke. I wouldn’t bother if he barbecued now and again. But it’s twice a day.

Yuk! I hate barbecues - all that carcogenic burnt meat smell wafting over the fence - yuk glad I live in a flat!

Have cross cultural studies been done, which includes countries were open flame cooking is practised nearly daily, all year round?
The data on people getting cancer from this, is very patchy.

You might find it annoying but he is entitled to have as many BBQs as he likes and there is not a hope in hell environment health will waste their time on this. The only thing you can do is talk to him in the hope things change, or accept it.

All those talking about countries where they BBQ all the time - they generally have much bigger gardens. The majority of the UK have tiny gardens so when people burn things, it's usual about two feet from your face. That's antisocial.

I frequently have to sit indoors because of the smoke from next doors BBQ, and close all the windows and doors. Those people using them all year round probably have better skills too, than to create billowing smoke that makes your eyes water.
