Would spending £1000 be better though? Obviously any shelter is better than none but this example is an absolute rip off.

The first few pictures are horrible but the later ones are better.

However, Edinburgh is an expensive place. My dc was in a four bed flat share in Edinburgh six years ago and was paying £600 a month (nicer flat).

It’s an expensive city. Bills included so if they’re doing something dodgy with not declaring it a separate dwelling that could be £500 a month saved.
Alao has parking and two bathrooms and is central.
It’s not that bad.

I have just let a two bed in immaculate condition central heating, double glazing, new carpets and kitchen for 650 in fife!! just over the river forth. it will be student let close to uni!

I’m actually really shocked. I pay £2k a month for a four bed house with separate dining room, lounge, kitchen and play room with huge garden.. right next to the train station in central Winchester.
