We’re a family of 4 and ship at Sainsbury’s. It’s costing around £170 a week and o just don’t see how this is sustainable, especially as prices are only going to go up. What do you pay and where do you shop?

family of two and a cat - around £150. But I’m vegan and my son isn’t and he has specific dietary requirements (he’s got special needs). Things like cat litter, baby wipes, laundry pods, cleaning wipes etc really bulk up the amount spent. I guess a lot of my food is pre prepared such as those microwave veg or ready meal - so it really makes things expensive too. (Im disabled myself)

About £85 for four adults.

We budget £700 a month -family of 3. DD almost an adult (16) and a dog.

The £700 includes toiletries, cleaning products etc.

This used to be £500 a couple of years ago, but has slowly crept up due to cozzy livs

No allergies, no dietary needs, normal "from scratch" meals, including only the 2 adukts making lunch from home. 2 adults and one teenager (with huge appetite). Around 90 per week.
If we cut back, I think we coukd do 70 per week (ie every week, not just for a month or so).

I’ve just paid for a delivery saver and I’m now doing a shop every 4-5 days rather than weekly, we waste less, and I think overall we spend less. No top up trips to supermarkets, I just do a small online order. I do meal plan, we always have one night of baked potatoes or sausage sandwiches which is a cheap meal night, and I do things like buy big trays of chicken thighs and strip all the meat off to save money (it’s so much cheaper). To be honest I don’t know how much we spend, probably works out around 130 per week but that doesn’t include dog food, or any meals out but we don’t do that very often at all. Kids have school lunches in addition to that.

best thing about the delivery saver is I don’t get meal planning block, I just do a couple of days worth of thinking at a time, add one easy meal, one batch cook meal and done.

About £70-80 per week for 3 adults, 4 when DS home from uni. Includes all toiletries, booze etc, and no top up shops. We don't eat meat or fish and that must keep costs down a lot.

2 adults £50-80 depends on how kind the yellow stickers are
Does not include pet food or some toiletries - as I do a separate 3 monthly shop at savers and pets at home
