We came of age in 1986 - Hand of God - Mexico World Cup etc etc

It is quite close to 60 but so what? You’re in great company - Kiley Minogue, Jennifer Anniston, Gillian Anderson etc. Age is what you make of it. I was born in 1969 and love my age, and getting older is so much better than the alternative!

Honestly OP, just be thankful for whatever age you reach.

Apparently one of the first things you get at turning 50 is an invite for a boob check at the doctor's (that's good though). Possibly the only thing you get at 50 🙁 Is there anything I can do at 50 that I can't do at 49?

I was born in 1967. Summer of Love. And yep. If you’re older than me you’re most definitely nearly 60. Hard to believe isn’t it? It seems only 10 minutes since I thought 40 was ancient and laughed with my sister “imagine, I’ll be 33 in the year 2000. 33! Imagine that!” Now I’m 57, nearly 58 and I wonder where it all went.

10 months before my 40th the nurse in the surgery kept remarking how i was near 40,
i was very insulted- that was 20 years ago,

69er here, and I totally get it. Nowt wrong with being 60 or near it when it applies to other people, but internally I'm 😳 you can't possibly mean me, my inner toddler refuses to believe it. I'm just going to grow old disgracefully.

My paternal GM nearly made 90, and we found a print out of the wear purple poem when we were sorting her house out, so we all wore something purple to her funeral. 💜 And I'm going like Elsie too. I'll be the happiest corpse you've ever seen.....

I was born in '68, I'm 57 now and I'm definitely nearly 60. The sooner I hit 60 the better, I'll be able to take a big chunk of pension and go part time at work.
