Squeak squeak burrow burrow. Is that a ferret reversing?

Use men’s or women’s toilets based on biological sex, minister says

Supreme Court ruling must be applied ‘right across the board’, Bridget Phillipson stresses as Sir Keir Starmer hails judgment as a ‘welcome step forward’

I know. I'm SO impressed with the measured & compassionate statement put out by the Communist Party.

And I cracked up at someone's response to it...

Their statement is impressive, in fact they have been sane and measured throughout.

Marx was a materialist rather than an idealist so it's hardly surprising that the Communist Party would issue a statement which includes the following sentence:

This materialist outcome corroborates our view that “sex” must mean biological sex for the purposes of the Act and any other interpretations would negate its single sex statutory protections.

DrPrunesqualer · 22/04/2025 17:48

They can’t be
They are born male
They are XY………that’s it.

Biological fact

Didn't you read the SC judgement ?!

You seem to have missed my subtle attempt at sarcasm.

Feminists are inclusive. This strand of ‘feminism’ is exclusionary and simply plays into the hands of the patriarchy. The ruling changes little for women but makes life a lot more shit for people who struggle already.

I know I won’t change anyone’s mind here but I’m thankful that most young people are more open and accepting.

The rights of trans identifying men IS the patriarchy.

You can't think we are so dumb as to think that giving up single sex spaces to men is an act of feminism?

FEMinism is about FEMales. It's literally in the name. No form of feminism includes males.

Oh behave- who do you think campaigned for women only spaces! Who had women only peace camps, women only short lists, set up rape crisis centres and refuges - men?

TRA are the patriarchy- a gaggle of angry men screaming at women ‘give us what you have’ while doing bugger all to help themselves

born from male privilege

@TeenagersAngst No, they aren’t.Have you skipped your biology lessons?
Biological woman- born as a woman,
biological man - born as a man.

Oh for goodness sake. I know. Im playing devils advocate. If you’d bothered to RTFT that much would be clear.

Gone are the days when Mumsnetters understood subtle sarcasm, it would seem.

lifeturnsonadime · 22/04/2025 19:59

DrPrunesqualer · 22/04/2025 19:49

The number is tiny compared to the number of women in this country who need protection.

They who shout the loudest are not always right.

All women need this protection from ALL men.

Trans women are Men. They always were.

Blame Stonewall for the overreach which has led these men to believe they have the right to be in single sex spaces. The Equality Act never gave that right, they stole it.

The trouble is, there’s so much insanity involved in this whole nonsense that sarcasm can sometimes be genuinely difficult to spot.

As a feminist I recognise that the male sex class has a proven track record in successfully serving it's own interests and does not need my help.

Fair enough. There is indeed extreme levels of insanity. All our politicians are seemingly insane.

Yep including thanks to FWS for taking the case to the Supreme Court.

Agree.
So many trolls making similar statements that we read them as they are.
Honestly i missed one of your sarcastic remarks too @TeenagersAngst
it still doesn’t sound sarcastic to me. It sounds like a statement you believe in

Perhaps do a wink or something on this thread.
Sarcasm is fine on other threads and we get it on those. Just not on this one, we have lost patients and our wit with it im afraid

Are you saying that you wouldn't, have sex with a transwomen because you're a lesbian?

They’re completely unaware of their shocking transphobia aren’t they?! It’s literal genocide.

MrsMappFlint · 22/04/2025 20:14

DrPrunesqualer · 22/04/2025 19:44

@MrsMappFlint

no one is saying your aunt, whatever their anatomy, cant call themselves your aunt.

They just can’t use womens single sex spaces.
Their gender is their business
Their biology defines their sex and the spaces they can use, how they are treated in a medical environment and by the police for strip searches and the class they will be put in for statistics relating to pay etc

Women really don’t care what they call themselves. Women care about their own sex based rights and protections.

Your term terf is hateful

@DrPrunesqualer

I agree with you. I couldn't agree more.

My second post-the one you refer to- followed on from the one where I said I was looking forward to meeting a Labour candidate, as I would ask him if my aunt had balls would she be my uncle.

I then got a bit carried away picturing my imaginary aunt with balls and her brave struggle.

Sorry if I irritated you but I suppose it shows that we are sadly so used to seeing shite of the type I sarcastically posted, that we think it might be true.

LadyBracknellsHandbagg · 22/04/2025 20:10

It reminds me of the interview with Nicola Sturgeon where she was asked if transfering Isla Bryson to a men's prison meant that there were times when a transwoman was not a woman as she claimed she believed was the case. I was too entertained to feel sorry for her.

Well some trans kids who are entirely harmless and sweet are feeling like shit right now and loads of mumsnetters are jubilant about this.
At the same time equal pay, period poverty, women’s health inequalities, male violence against women, women’s access to education, abortion, contraception etc are still problems the world over.
slow handclap for the feminist victory 🙄

Those poor kids have been sold a lie by parents, teachers, social media, family and friends too lazy to dig in and help them. No child is born in the wrong body. There is no such thing as a trans child, just an unhappy one. If your child is unhappy about his or her body then find out what the real problem is. They are likely to be ND, or LGB, have MH issues or have experienced some kind of trauma. Help them come to terms or get help for that. Don't spin them a fairy story about being born in the wrong body and send them off into a terrible world of medication, surgery, loneliness and MH issues.

The women of Mumsnet you are complaining about are the ones who want a happy, healthy future for these children, free of endless confusion, hormones and drugs, which damage bones and brains. No one is jubilant about what's happening to what you call trans kids.

LadyBracknellsHandbagg · 22/04/2025 20:17

Roxietrees · 22/04/2025 18:35

I have many trans friends. Every single one of them has been verbally or physically attacked at one point or another. You really want to be part of that movement?

You’ll have the evidence to back that up then, let’s have it.

Didn't Nancy Kelly describe lesbians who wouldn't consider dating transwomen akin to sexual racists when she was CEO of Stonewall

I agree. Adults should do better and not lie to dc, and cause damage with harmful gender ideology.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 22/04/2025 20:19

MrsMappFlint · 22/04/2025 19:24

No, my aunt is non binary and pan sexual. She refuses to bow down to these ridiculous titles that are simply predicated on constructed social genders.

She is bravely leading the way, fighting against the hatred of Terfs.

Her balls do not define her gender. She is a brave, proud woman with a scrotum, clinging to her dignity, her spirit, her sense of wonder.

Ocado, who share her views on those with hateful Terf beliefs have given her a job driving one of their vans. She bravely buzzes around in it, flying the Transgender flag, in fear of her life but determined, so hugely determined, to fight on-to defy the ignorant, the haters and the unkind.

So, @handsdownthebest educate yourself. An aunt with balls is not always an uncle. I imagine her story has brought a tear to your eye and maybe, just maybe, it has opened your hard heart just a little.

Do Ocado announce her impending arrival with:

"Today your order will be delivered by Auntie in the Sausage van"?

(also non binary and a woman? Greedy)
