Hi all. AIBU to want / call the police for neighbour blasting music? I could probably tolerate but DD9 is getting very upset.

I wouldn't waste your calling the police or reporting it to the Council. They do fuck all
I've got a wanker neighbour who regularly plays shit bassy music at all hours so loud I can hear it in every room in my house and she's done that for over 5 years
Been reported to Council loads of times. Nothing ever happens

Anger management for what? It's more migrane causing than anger.

Your responses are extreme, abnormal and ridiculously violent.

It wasn't to be taken seriously. The point was is it fair to ensure ignorant behaviour or should you be entitled to have it stopped.

I'm glad to find out raising a complaint to affect selling house, should I ever want to though.

What is the council response @romany4 for your case?

Stop with giving the OP a hard time about her total fantasising revenge tactics - if you have never lived next to inconsiderate neighbours you have no idea how it can be a living hell and all sorts of Michael Bay Movie type scenarios go through your head but that’s all they are just fantasies, the reality is we all have to put up with it and suffer whilst they do do exactly why they like as they know there will be no consequences

OP respectfully- start saving for a detached house.

How will that help with garden noise though?

TalkToTheHand123 · 13/04/2025 20:34

It could have been the start though. I'd never dream to be that inconsiderate.

My current neighbours are a bit of a joke as the bloke has blocked up the shared archway from day one with his rubbish. Keeps leaving the shared gate open and has 2 dogs barking whenever anyone walks past. I do realise I'm quite lucky compared to others. It's still a level of inconsideration I wouldn't stoop anywhere near to though.

*in the middle of nowhere

I could easily afford a detached house, but I could suffer the same situation. Fortunately they seem to have got the message from the heckling, touch wood.

It never needed to get to this though. A reasonable level and no issue for anyone.
