This is a confession thread and also a mystery solving thread.

There are certain things in life that everyone seems to hate, but I've never ever seen anyone own up to doing, and I would like these people to own up now because I need to know your demographic and why you do them. This is anonymous, you are safe here, tell the truth.

WHO are the people that hang dog poo bags on trees? Who are you and WHY?
WHO are the people that bought all the toilet rolls during covid?

Please add your own answers and your own confessions. Especially the dog poo one because it's everywhere, and yet I never see anyone doing it or owning up to it.

I'm regretting making this thread.

Same as most people who start threads on here then😂
It almost always takes a turn for the worst

I once saw "poo" written on the wall.. in poo.

I think these people are just mentally ill.

I recall someone writing a rude message on the wall of one of the women's loos at Glasgow Uni back in the '80s.

We very often got vile messages from unknown people who - presumably had been at a uni disco - signed "A WORKER".

I was very tempted to leave a non-excremental reply signed "A STUDENT/COALMINER'S DAUGHTER".

Someone (I can't think who) once told me they hang poobags to collect and dispose of on their way back, rather than carry the poo with them for their walk, although if this is what people are thinking, 1. Still not OK and 2. They clearly don't.

Just this morning found a doggy deposit sans bag on the verge next to my hedge and saw yet another poo bag lying in the hedge of the neighbour on the other side of the lane.

If you hear that a pensioner has been arrested for shoving a dog owner's nose into dog mess, you'll know who it is.

Since I'm on a ranting roll, we have one wee nyaff round our way who seems to try to assert his manhood by getting his dog(s) to shit in the driveways of lone older women.

I swear he was on his way to leave yet another deposit on my driveway this morning until I walked round the corner and drew myself up to my full height. (He clearly doesn't like women who are taller than him. I'm 5ft 9. He's a good bit shorter.)

I've never caught him in the act, but I've had the same experience as my pal down the road - you'll see the doggy deposit lying on the driveway just as he disappears into the distance.

We exchanged words one time. According to him, I 'nearly ran over [his] dog'.

Nope. I exit my driveway at a crawl, which is why I saw the mutt and stopped in time. It wasn't on a lead. I pointed this out.

He now puts his dogs on those veeeeeeery long extendable leads which means he's still no real control over them.

Ok didn’t want to derail another thread with this question so will ask here…

Who doesn’t always have their house key with them when they leave the house?

Is this a culture thing? (American asking)

There is about a thread a week detailing how impossible it is that some random family member is causing a door to left unlocked in the middle of the night because they don’t have a house key. 🔑

Edited

I do take my key with me at all times now, but I recall losing my temper with my late husband a couple of times when he'd locked me out of the house.

I think once I'd nipped to the corner shop; the other time, I was putting rubbish in the bin. He'd noticed the unlocked door and decided to lock it for the night.

Both times, I thought that he was aware that I was out of the house. He seemed to think that I was in the bathroom.

I'm a 38yo white, married, female with two children, living in south east England, on a household income of around £45k, educated to degree level, with a very mixed upbringing.

I'm a late-end Boomer. The bad dog owners that I see range in age.

Who are the people who empty children’s potties in the car park at my local park? Human poo is no different to dog poo - put it in the bin (or, you know, the toilet which is 25m away)
twice now my delightful Labradustbin has eaten a full sized human poo just left in the hedgerow that Demarks the carpark. Absolutely revolting.

Yeuch.

I've had a nappy chucked over my hedge. Also bits of fly tipping.

I don't get as much bother now that I'm retired and in the garden more often.

That's horrible.
Years ago, when we moved into our first house with baby DD, the previous occupiers had left three bin bags in the garden FULL of used nappies. Not only were they full, they were also split and disintegrating from being outside in all weathers. So, so disgusting. Why they hadn't put them in the bin outside I'll never know.
Fly tipping around here (Costwolds) is at an all time high. I've driven past three separate loads just coming home from picking up DD from work. I cycle a lot and the hedgerows and lay-bys and woods are absolutely full of rubbish and dumped tyres and household crap. It's so beautiful here, and it's being totally ruined. It does get reported and removed and there is usually more in weeks.

Good for you . I only wish I had the guts to do this when I see someone leaving their dogs poo
