All crime docs are about men killing women!

I was trying to find somehing to watch on Netflix last night. Looked at crime documentaries. They're all about men killing women. Or men killing children.

I like a bit of true crime sometimes, but it's actually too much. What the hell have we been putting up with over decades and centuries! There was a guest on Steven Bartletts Diary of a CEO who said the most dangerous person to a woman is her husband! I believe it. We've taken this shit for too long.

Channel 4 I think. It used actors to recreate what took place in court. 2 separate jury's were made up of real people. 1 set found the "accused" guilty and 1 didn't. There was one male jury member in particular who was appalling in his attitude and was punching the air shouting out "YES!" When the "accused" was found innocent.

The woman was bludgeoned and strangled to death.

It was a disturbing watch wasn't it @Alucard55?
That particular jury member was just awful in the way he tried to justify her murder.

I heard someone say the reason so many women watch True Crime is to educate themselves of all the warning signs and dangers they face. Sad truth in that.

You are obviously a man 💯

What i want is men to stop being violent. I want the society to stop enabling and excusing abuse. I want women and children being able to walk around and exist in the world without a threat of being killed, raped, trafficked, exploited and abused.

Unfortunately, despite us living in a so-called ‘civilised’ society, the problem is getting much, MUCH worse…

@SerenityNowSerenityNow is was so disturbing the way he carried on. And the laughing and whooping at the end. Makes you wonder how he treats the women in his life.

I think there's some truth in that.
I have a son and I feel it's important to understand the influences of toxic masculinity and people like Andrew Tate.

Know your enemy and all that!

Exactly what we said.

Regardless of whether you believed the loss of control story or not, at the end of the day he'd killed her. There was nothing to celebrate.

You heard someone say? There's also a thing called morbid curiosity. All the women where I work love a good true crime doc. Nothing to do with taking notes. A self defense class is always a good idea.

Exactly. The woman was dead and children had lost their mother because of him. Just googled he's out of prison now apparently.

Of course 🙄 it's a joke.

I knew someone who nearly killed his girlfriend. In fact, he thought she was dead and he left her. She had life changing injuries.

He got 6 years and was out in 3. Wasn't his fault apparently, she wound him up and England lost at football.

He's living with another woman now who's too scared to leave because he threatens to kill himself if she does.

It's disgusting but then women are responsible for mens behaviour.

As I said where I work yes.

I am a big true crime fan I mostly consume podcasts on it. I have recently finished reading The Five: The Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper and it’s made me do a 180 on how I consume true crime.
