I live alone and am finding nice ways to treat myself well- so far I have

lay out my tea bag and mug next to the full kettle so it’s always ready for the next cuppa
Pu my PJs on the radiator so they are always warm
Friday night I swing home via M and S food to get some weekend treats

What else?

Put my heated bedsheet on an hour before I go to bed, bliss!

TotallyAddictedToCoffee · 14/03/2025 12:37

I have a good skin care routine before bed

stepfordwifey · 14/03/2025 12:46

Two bunches of Lidl tulips. Lifts my spirits and I love it when they start to splay out a bit.

LoudPlumDog · 14/03/2025 12:50

In the depths of grief after my daughter basically dropped dead, so I’ve implemented a new skin care routine with new products
fresh flowers in the house
new bedding

tinygreengrass · 14/03/2025 12:52

The best thing I can do for myself is to religiously drink three litres of a water a day! My skin looks better, my energy levels are up and I feel lighter. I don't do it very often!

Holdonforsummer · 14/03/2025 12:53

A Thai massage every few months. And I don’t tell anyone I’ve been!

Devilsmommy · 14/03/2025 12:57

@LoudPlumDog so sorry about your daughter 💐 mine is having a leisurely 20 mins to drink a cappuccino whilst smoking a cigarette after a long stressful day. Heaven ☺️

@LoudPlumDog

I’m really sorry to hear that x

LauderSyme · 14/03/2025 13:07

@LoudPlumDog I am so very sorry for your loss, huge condolences 💐

I pay for an app called Picture This which you use to take photos and it immediately identifies plants, flowers and trees and gives loads of info about them. I have curated a lovely virtual garden which I enjoy scrolling through.

Enigma53 · 14/03/2025 13:10

At this moment in time, while my hair is falling out from chemo? Getting my head shaved! Then I don’t have to see hair everywhere ( literally!)

loropianalover · 14/03/2025 13:13

Cleaning and re-filling the open fire in the morning is the greatest gift to myself…
nothing beats coming home in the evening and realise I can just light it up. 😆

AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta · 14/03/2025 13:17

A regular haircut.
Soak in the bath with a book.
Sit down with a cuppa and glossy magazine.
Glass of wine a couple of evenings a week.

AngelinaFibres · 14/03/2025 13:18

Nails done every 3 weeks. They look so beautiful

AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta · 14/03/2025 13:18

@LoudPlumDog and @Enigma53 💐.

ANiceBigCupOfTea · 14/03/2025 13:19

A nice hot bath while listening to a podcast. It's a really decadent feeling little bit of me time and I really look forward to it.
Getting my hair done regularly. It makes me feel like a bombshell when I have good hair.

PoppyBaxter · 14/03/2025 13:21

Ooh, loads.

I eat really well and go to the gym.

In terms of little things, I've bought a bunch of flowers every week for the last 20 years. Just a cheap supermarket bunch.

I drink my morning coffee and eat my breakfast out of a really nice mug and bowl.

I often treat myself to a half bottle of champagne and drink it from a lovely glass, wrapped up on the sofa, with a scented candle burning.

I do my own gel nails.

I often have an 'everything' bath on a Sunday afternoon, which will get a LOT nicer when we finally make over our bathroom!

OneTC · 14/03/2025 13:22

Hysterectomynext · 14/03/2025 13:22

i go to a gym with a nice jacuzzi and I sit in it for at least half an hour!

Inmydreams88 · 14/03/2025 13:22

At the moment it’s making sure the kitchen is cleaned after the baby has gone to bed. Waking up to a clean kitchen makes my morning alot easier.

LadyKenya · 14/03/2025 13:26

I eat very well, and love collecting books, which I tend to binge read in the garden, whenever possible.🌞

I get Freddies Flowers delivered every 2 weeks - they easily last that long. I love getting the delivery and arranging them and they always look spectacular.

Mamofboys5972 · 14/03/2025 13:30

When I first became a mam I used to try and do ALL the jobs while baby slept. Now I'm 37 weeks pregnant with baby number 2 and every time my oldest naps I get a snack, a warm drink and sit myself down 🥰 the dishes can wait, my body needs a rest x

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 14/03/2025 13:31

Every month I have waxing, two sets of Gelish nails done and 8 sessions with a personal trainer. Also a great haircut every six weeks. Those are the things that I cherish most.

Newlysinglemum1 · 14/03/2025 13:35

@Enigma53 and @LoudPlumDog 💐 the strength it takes to keep showing up for yourselves is incredible, you're amazing and I'm so sorry it's been so hard.

I am investing in regular therapy in the wake of a life implosion, get my nails done once a month and trying to go to the gym each week and have a good skincare routine which so far I feel much better for. Lots of long walks in rural spots as well.
