Is currently getting her arse handed to her by Judge Rinder on Good Morning Britain...

She is not coming across well.

Loved Rob Rinder code switching.

wow, no shame from her whatsoever.

None, even why she was trying to squeeze some sympathy for her "dad's legacy " Not a hint of remorse for what she did,

🤨 link to this unsavouriness?

there's lots where he is explicit in stating how his wife had problems sexually so the marriage was uncomsumated.

She is apparently writing her autobiography, so it is in her interests to stay in the public eye, no matter how awkward it might be. Good marketing.

The woman is all about the money.

I wondered why she was doing this. She must have really thick skin or be so money obsessed that this situation is worth it if more people buy her book.

#Won'tBuyIt.

PrincessScarlett · 07/03/2025 13:07

Yes, did make me chuckle that her book is self published. It's like she's been turned down by multiple publishers for various reasons but she will still force her book into the public eye because she thinks she's got something important to say 🙄

Tomatotater · 07/03/2025 13:07

Her book is about the grief she felt after he died, but she took a 100 year old man to Barbados in the middle of a pandemic, conveniently accompanied by her and her entire family! She really is not coming across well in this. She clearly thought she could just go on and say 'Oh I've written a book about grief' and thought she wouldn't be challenged. She either was completely unprepared or she really cannot explain herself.

You're right, they will. They're the same posters who clapped liked demented seals for months on end.

It's terrifying actually, how easily led so many adults are and how happy they are to be swept along into nonsense. Also, how aggressive they are with anybody who won't follow. I think this is why cults must be so successful, pure brainwashing.

We got ostracised by the neighbours as we didn't go out and clap. I mentioned to the most gossipy one who was being sarky about it once the lockdown was over that as one of my children was a nurse who had been working 7 days a week on the ward to cover for sick colleagues I felt I'd done my bit and besides my child asked us not to clap as they found it insulting, all they wanted was a pay rise to reflect their worth.

They had a street party for VE day in 2020 and we were very carefully ignored when they saw us getting out of the car as it was all being laid out. I think sanity has returned and they've invited us to stuff in the last two years. No way in this world am I socialising with them, they knew my children were too far away to visit and we'd be on our own through lockdown, my husband is disabled so they knew the pressure I'd been through. No way of making up for it now.

I genuinely didn't realise people were doing it in real life
I assumed it was a thing put on for tv cameras till weeks into it my mum told me she was doing it and i almost passed out from secondary embarassment

That's awful. Some people showed their true colours during COVID...self righteous, snitchers, bossy arses and Hannah IM who saw an opportunity to make money

Sceptic1234 · 07/03/2025 09:16

A minor point - which I've raised before!

An army officer below the rank of major cannot continue to use their title in civilian life. Military etiquette and regulations make it very clear that "Captain Tom" should never be referred to as "Captain" anything because a captain is a junior officer!

All part of the branding campaign I suppose.

Absolutely. The erroneous use of Captain/Lieutenant is usually a good wrong'un flag!

PenneyFouryourthoughts · 07/03/2025 13:17

Agree with pp, Rob Rinder is a sweet man except when he's trying to establish the truth. He used to be a barrister, heavens sake. If I had the opportunity to go on TV with a flimsy defence, I would not go in front of Rinder. I'd bail!

I couldn't watch the whole thing because it was uncomfortable.

I think for Hannah, the time is now to go away and live quietly. Very few people take her seriously now, and even less trust her.

TizerorFizz · 07/03/2025 13:19

For the sake of clarity, Rob Rinder is not technically a top barrister. He's not a KC. He mixes being a barrister with being a tv personality. More of the latter these days.

It was a real performance here, drums and trumpets and people walking along arm in arm, so much for distancing. They were so supportive of the NHS but when it came to having friends to stay they didn't seem to worry about spreading the virus.

The whole thing was really weird.

She does not lack belief in her own ability to bullshit

And she has done well out of it so far.

Found this:

"Things in the bedroom weren't right between us from the start...

The marriage was unconsummated."
"Billie was very shy and restrained..."

He also admitted that the marriage was too "impulsive" and soon felt like he had sunk into a deep hole and couldn't get out.

🧐 sounds like he was in anything but a deep hole he couldn't get out of 🤷🏾‍♀️🤢

Captain Tom Moore reveals sexless first marriage was 'darkest period of life'

It brought out the best in some people and the worst in others. When everyone was going mad stocking up I was in a local supermarket, a toddler in a trolley held up his loaf of bread quite proudly. I said he was a lucky boy, I'd missed the bread and DH was going to have to go without his toast. His mum went to take the bread off him and give it to me. I declined and thanks her for her kindness. Not the biggest gesture in the world but it made me feel like there were still kind people around. Little gestures can mean a lot.

I think a lot of the anger directed at her is because people feel stupid they fell for it

I thought it was all ridiculous at the time but can't stand the profiteering Covid grifters like her and Michelle Mone.

autisticbookworm · 07/03/2025 13:27

I may not know the whole story but do people believe a 100 year old man deliberately conned the public out of money?

Hannah and her husband were stupid though a charity like that was obviously going to be under major scrutiny. I don't know how they thought they would get away with it

Luckily I don't have many houses round me so could be oblivious to the weirdness.
Also explains why I was happy to not go along with the no visitors/ ixing thing as no one to threaten to snitch!

Because of her father she honestly thought she could do anything. She "believed " her own con.

BustingBaoBun · 07/03/2025 13:29

Her husband has a lot to answer for too. He was on the awful Piers Morgan interview when they wheeled the children out too. He sounded just as bad as her.

yes, i believe a man conned the public.
I also believe his age was irrelevant to his con with the rest of the family

Oh you're spoiling it for the fawners now... there's a pedestal needs positioning.
