By 45p a week. What will you be spending your extra 45p on?

OP posts:

Deffo saving up for a gram of coke. In 7 years I'll be having a right good night.

ExIssues · 06/03/2025 21:28

I guess that's £1.50 a month for 2 kids. Why even bother

AllyHayHay · 06/03/2025 21:29

Freddos are winning!

Might I also suggest putting it onto ones electricity meter?

Or investing in the stock market?

Cudz · 06/03/2025 21:29

That will buy me one third if a diet coke can. Lucky me I'll be super hydrated!!!!

Neveranynamesleft · 06/03/2025 21:30

Baffles me how they come up with these amounts...

autisticbookworm · 06/03/2025 21:31

Hmmm put it towards my takeaway coffee and avocado on toast maybe

SleepDeprivedButAlive · 06/03/2025 21:31

Sky TV to go on my new 70" flat screen and a pack of fags x

Leaving card for Rachel from accounts?

What a sad misogynistic insult

A widescreen TV.

I was going to say a luxury holiday and new car but I bought these with the £14 child mainetenance I got last year.

Ahh, you’re just showing off now, bragging about your wealth… 😀
seriously, £14??
Dear God…☹️

DancefloorAcrobatics · 06/03/2025 21:37

I'll start saving it towards the holiday of a lifetime with DC: Disney Land Florida!
I'm sure my DC will be able to take their DC ... or grand DC eventually.

TheFunSponge · 06/03/2025 21:38

Some dressing for my massive salad!

MrBallensWife · 06/03/2025 21:40

I'm gonna spend mine on a gigolo 😜

dawngreen · 06/03/2025 21:50

Absolutely disgusting that it should be no more than 20p 😡😡😡

Yogre · 06/03/2025 21:52

I was going to get one of those dark chocolate ostrich Easter eggs from hotel chocolate for MIL, but this raise fell a little too short for that.

Do they still sell that white lightning piss cider in a bottle? Seems like a good year to start drinking again.

Noperope · 06/03/2025 21:55

Speaking of Freddos, saw this in a museum with the dc last week. 10p Freddos are now so far in the past they belong in a fucking museum.

I'm going to use my 45p to buy the world's smallest joint. I'll smoke it and then reminisce about the times when you could purchase 10 fag's and a bottle of wine for £10.

2 small bananas ( lidl)..

Crowcrowcrow · 06/03/2025 22:03

At least it’s going up, a couple of years ago it didn’t.
Other European countries don’t increase their rates every year just look at Ireland.

Owwmumo1 · 06/03/2025 22:03

Saving up for a couple of weeks then rocking up at Home Bargains to get myself at bottle of Reef. Party like it's 1996

Hugsbunny · 06/03/2025 22:06

Nothing, we contribute more than our fair share to everyone else's Child Benefit but earn over the threshold so don't get it for our own kids.

borborygmus1 · 06/03/2025 22:11

Oh wow a 1.01% rise when inflation is 3%. How generous of the government!

I'll be putting my devalued child benefit into paying for childcare in this lovely country, the 3rd most expensive place for childcare in the world.

CraneBeak · 06/03/2025 22:16

Lip filler. Been struggling to afford that last 1/83748295th of my bottom lip....

Justgorgeous · 06/03/2025 22:17

labia rejuvenation.

Booboomylove · 06/03/2025 22:24

I'll spend it on my child. That's what child benefit is for. A drop in the ocean, but a drop nonetheless. Child benefit was / is meant to improve the lives of children not mothers.

Ph3 · 06/03/2025 22:26

are you upset that the increase is low?
