The way things are shaping up I'm beginning to think the USAs negotiations with Putin were for USA to stand aside and let Putin have part of Ukraine and for Russia to support the US to take Greenland.

Trump is back onto Greenland again and he still things the US is the greatest country - I think he actually believes it!

He clearly hasn’t seen how the markets are responding.

Thing is he will have had tariffs explained. They aren't complex. So this is just lying. Sometimes he's thick, sometimes he's lying. Sometimes both. This is pure lying.

Thing is if he crashes the economy he’s gone. Money is God in the US and he’ll be quietly escorted from the White House with the story that his health has failed. I thought we were going to have to grit our teeth for four years. After today I’m slightly more optimistic.

But then you are left with Vance who is even stupider than Trump.

You think Vance would survive? Because I don’t.

We’ve lived in hope before that people would finally get rid of this madman and he’s always survived!!

I fear he will manage to con his way out of it again!!!

Does Vance inspire the same cult following? I'm not convinced. A big part of Trumps appeal according to those I know who think he is great, is that he is not a politician, he's just a successful businessman who loves his country (sound familiar). That seems to be the lynchpin around which the circus revolves. I don't think Vance can make that work, and if Trump goes, and the country still goes to shit, I think Vance will lose the support quickly.

I may be wrong though, with no evidence to back my thoughts, just observation and discussion with a member of the faithful.

I find it amazing how they think that he's a successful businessman. Do they not know the first thing about him? He inherited his wealth. His business acumen is so mediocre that he'd have been better off sticking the money in the bank for the interest. He's no more a businessman than Charles Ponzi was.
