The way things are shaping up I'm beginning to think the USAs negotiations with Putin were for USA to stand aside and let Putin have part of Ukraine and for Russia to support the US to take Greenland.

The majority of Canadian are liberals - the Republicans would never get in the White House again if we joined the US.

Because he is trying to put America first, his methods could be better but if he looks after the country as a whole then why is that bad ?

No country is an island and you can't insulate yourselves from global chaos.
Your country cannot thrive if others around are not doing well too.
If global security decreases, you will also be under threat. You might think you're the global lead militarily currently but that lead can be lost, your population is just 4% of the global total.

I don't disagree with the military support being to much on the US, although I would say that the US has been supported in their wars also.

In his business career he's screwed investors, screwed contractors, screwed employees. He's assaulted women and been friends with traffickers. He's only ever been interested in his own interests, at the detriment of everyone else.

In what world do you think that is 'America'? I've always said I hate American politics, hate their cultural imperialism, hate their ignorance of every other place in the world, hate their systems. You can also face problems from within your own country, not all dangers are from other nations and Trump is not winning everyone over that's for sure.

You say it’s not a bad thing if he makes America (great again) better by means of bullying, extortion, land grabs and humiliating other sovereigns (“allies”) whilst rolling over for Israel and Russia, if you think by those means it’s great that he’ll make America ‘better’ then all of your reasonings are obsolete to most sane democratic people

but then the problem is who is to say other leaders or some of thos other leaders don't use those very same tatics but they do it in secret rather than via the media ?
