I tried.

I really did.

But JFC it's absolutely awful.

"Come and watch me make the most basic of crafts while telling me how much you admire me, and I gently patronise you"

Really awful.

The episode with Delphina was my favourite one - just love the idea of hicking and having lunch al fresco.

I liked that episode as well with Pula just waiting for her opportunity to knick something from the spread 🤣.

So I think my favourite episodes are the one with Roy for the Korean food - because I enjoyed seeing and learning his recipes, the ones with her friends - I really loved seeing their chatter and interactions - Meghan was the most relaxed in those ones.

I love Mindy so liked seeing that episode but my children’s birthday party days are long behind me (and I don’t do fruit 🤣) - so didn’t get much out of that. Delfina said something really interesting to Meghan after they went hiking that I found really insightful and I was fascinated by Mate though I don’t think I’ll ever drink it. Then Vicky’s skin mask was fun to see (and the fateful potstickers 🥟 🤣) and still haven’t seen the last episode!

I went to Cali many years ago. San Fransisco was my favourite city. It was so beautiful and quirky. I loved every second of it. I'm almost scared to go back because its meant to have really gone downhill. I didn't make it to the National Parks (Young so spent my time in LA/San Fran and Vegas!) but that's on my Bucket List. I hope Trump/Musk don't destroy them before I can go.

Edited

Wow that must have been an incredible trip. Wasn't so keen on California years ago as I only associated the place with biches and ignorantly though that the landscape was flatter than what it is. S. Francisco is definitely on my list. As I have said, hopefully this Trump- Vance administration won't do everlasting damage. Hopefully America will be great to visit again once they are gone.

The Portobello Scalloped Bowls are also lovely. Are made in porcelain and with lovely shapes.

So - in my kitchen - crockery and glassware is a place where are more than certainly going to be chipped, cracked or destroyed. I look at these beautiful things but know full well that they will almost immediately be broken they moment I get them home.

I think the lack of charisma is a huge part of why people who turned against her (because of Oprah etc) can’t find their way back to when we thought we liked her (because Harry liked her, so she must be nice). Charisma can forgive a lot of things (not always a good thing) it can win people over. Charisma is something people feel from another person, it can’t be based on facts or how unfair supporters feel their favourite person is being treated. Even though he's an utter a*sehole at times, Harry can switch the charisma on which is a big advantage for him.

Completely agree with this too. She doesn’t have Charisma, yes she’s smiley, but she seems wooden, not genuine and awkward I think and it’s hard to warm to her, especially after all the awful interviews etc… The only way back would be to have an abundance of charm and charisma and she has neither and I agree Harry can turn it on at times

I knooow 🤣🤣🤣, but I am just going to give it a try anyway. I'll be amazing to get these peaces out especially when having people for dinner or lunch.

Hoppinggreen · 11/03/2025 10:19

I actually find it very entertaining, its funny
I prefer the spoofs that are doing the rounds on SM though, even funnier.
No idea why a series about rebagging shop bought snacks and sprinking flowers around should atract such ire though.

MyKingdomforaNewUsername · 11/03/2025 10:30

No, you don’t understand. They can’t let it go.

It's rather unnerving.

I think she and Harry behaved abominably towards her father and the RF. I also think they lied on the OW interview and Netflix doc but ...

They are not costing the taxpayer anything anymore so just let em get on with their lives in California but good grief! the obsession some on MN and MSM have is bizarre.

I watched two episodes of the show. It was cringe so I won't watch more. I think her shop stuff will not be a success but I won't rejoice. I think Harry's estrangement from his family in the UK is a bitter pill he has to swallow daily.

But why not give it a try? Many things don't seem that difficult to replicate 😄You can do it!

I don't have the knack for these things. Like some people can have a dining table, put a plant and a dish of fruit or something on it, it looks lovely. I do the same, and it looks like I've just left them on the table ready to be cleared away.🤣

I’m the same. My table currently has some tea towels on it plus some unopened letters and a portable smoke alarm. I’ve got a friend coming round at 12 and I’ll just push them to the end of the table, the rest will just be empty space. It'll be a cup of tea and sandwich (I’ll make it, she won’t need to help) and definitely no gushing oh and my dog will get jealous and bark and whine while we chat.

Laserwho · 11/03/2025 10:48

Carnt she do anything without copying other people. The jam and honey, the king has done this for decades, he also sells biscuits which she is also trying to sell. She is copying Kate with the bee keeping. She has copied Pamela Anderson with the programme, even the names are similar. I've seen a trailer for the Pam one and is by far superior in every way. If I wanted to splash out for Jam I would buy the kings one as it's authentically royal and the money goes to charity.

I was the same at some point especially with plants. I couldn't keep a plaint alive for more than a week😂, however, with a lot of practice, you' ll get better at any thing. You may also want to use Pinterest. Tik tok also has a lot lifestyle/ "how-to" content

skullbabe · 11/03/2025 11:00

I’m not sure that King Charles was the first person to make jam and honey (and I’m also fairly certain he’s not standing in the kitchen stirring the pots himself—but let’s imagine he does, just for fun). Nor was he the first to sell thumbprint biscuits. And I don’t think Catherine was the first person in history to take up beekeeping either.

Pamela has a vegan cooking show, Meghan has a lifestyle show—both can exist, and it’s great that you’re supporting Pamela’s. I checked when I was on another thread a couple of days ago - it's not on Prime in the UK yet, but will be soon. In the meantime, there are some about 3 or 4 YouTube shorts from the show, including one where she learns to make sweet potato fries (which, believe it or not, have also been made by other people before - I know shocking).

And yes, supporting charity is always a great thing, so fantastic that you’ll be buying the King’s jam for that purpose. Plus, you get the added joy of it being royal - win-win. It's always nice to hear of people finding things that make them happy!

My social media algorithms over this past week have been full of people's pictures of the things they made from the show - which is a real case in point as to how social media algorithms pretty much tailor themselves to things you like. But if I see one more honey lemon raspberry cake 😂.

You have hundreds of threads allocated to vilifying this woman. It is only fair to have a thread that is pretty neutral.

No, you don’t understand. They can’t let it go. She said her piece in the Oprah interview and the H&M documentary, and since then, she’s said nothing. Yet, everything she does or says—no matter how neutral—is twisted into a dig or a complaint by people who refuse to give her an inch.

There’s no reasoning with them because they need Meghan to fail. They need her to be humiliated, ridiculed, and utterly defeated so they can gloat over their so called victory. And even then, it still wouldn’t be enough for them.

They’ll deny this, of course, and claim it’s not about that. Instead, they’ll insist it’s because she’s a ‘narcissist’ or ‘spiteful’ or ‘evil’—as if that somehow justifies the obsessive hatred. Meanwhile, actual monsters like Kyle Clifford don’t receive half the energy they dedicate to despising her.

They’ll take the side of the press . They’ll attack her friends and accuse anyone who supports her of being a paid bot. And anyone who dares publicly defend her is torn apart in the media.

And as you can see in this thread nothing short of - Meghan is shit and isn’t her show shit and what kind of idiot chops her veges like that and I don’t walk about barefoot in my kitchen like an idiot and isn’t she silly she called pasta noodles and can you believe the wasted salt in the baked branzino - she honestly has no self awareness ad infinitum - will be allowed to stand by this group of people. So just accept it - once the thread reaches a critical mass of negativity hell bent on attacking other posters and being unremittingly miserable, you either exit the thread and leave them to it or just talk over them.

I mean this definitely isn’t true for all. I like meghan, that’s the reason I tried the show. I fully respected her stance in the Oprah interview and thought she did the right thing. I just didn’t think her show was great

It hasn't been renewed . The series was filmed last summer back to back with this series. The plan was for it to be shown ,it's not new news. Netflix often film shows back to back ,the crown for example . I very much doubt it will be renewed and going by reports from netflix I very much doubt the jam and co will reach the netflix shops. Netflix officially regret paying out so much money to meg because they haven't got the comeback they expected from her.
