I tried.

I really did.

But JFC it's absolutely awful.

"Come and watch me make the most basic of crafts while telling me how much you admire me, and I gently patronise you"

Really awful.

@LipglossAlly it's absolutely apparent that you are part of a paid for social media arm of their PR. Who fucking cares so much? You'd argue that Meghan is the messiah if you could. Who are you? Where do you live? You're on a British social media site where opinion is gonna be based on what we know:... hmm funny that! It's so transparent it's almost funny. Media people can see through this shit.

So much misinformation and denial, as usual, from the Meghan Markle Sussex Squad.

I think the fact someone insisted and insisted that she didn't mention the NA shows how you simply can’t talk any sense in to some.

This is very sad Indeed.
It goes beyond M&H at this point. My opinion on the

Guardian which I once deemed a reputable outlet has gone down the toilet. I am not the only one. Many readers seem disappointed at the turn the Guardian is taking. Many people have highlighted that they found the whole thing fishy and are no longer interested in supporting this newspaper.

God knows if this country needs serious reputable media outlets as opposed to these newspapers that engage in tabloid culture with no integrity and professionalism whatsoever.

Yeah probably many journalists that work there have attended the same private schools as the ones working at DM, and at the end of the day despite playing champagne socialists from time to time they will tow the line and protect the status quo at all costs won't they? And again hate sells.

💯💯

I will re-iterate that Meghan did not talk about the National Anthem at all in the Oprah interview and whatever commentator had to say about someone else learning the Danish National Anthem does not change the fact that Meghan did not talk about the British National Anthem in the Oprah interview.

Edited

Care to reiterate it one more time, for the people at the back?

I’ve been quite surprised by the Guardian jumping on the MM obsession bandwagon. It’s been quite obvious and strange. Maybe one review by the TV critic and an opinion piece due to her fame, but they’re hovering DM territory.

Maybe their journalists and editors went to school with the DM and Murdoch journalists and they are attacking MM and Harry out of anger for the court case win?

In any case Leveson recommendations need to be implemented. British ‘journalism’ is in the toilet and an international embarrassment.

💯💯

uhhuhuhhuhuhuh · 09/03/2025 15:18

Hahahaha you just 💯 your own post. Are you ok?

LipglossAlly · 09/03/2025 15:21

I am quoted my own post to keep to conversion going.
This tread is supposed to be discussing the content of the programme and other issues around that such as media literacy. I am not interested in people that are here to derail the thread.

uhhuhuhhuhuhuh · 09/03/2025 15:21

Anyway off to enjoy the British sun and let you work yourself into a lather. You can report back to your PR agency that you did your best but social media takeovers are not the way to win hearts and minds

😂😂😂 @LipglossAlly you are hilarious back slapping your own post. What with that and the NA denial it’s fairly obvious the calibre of a Meghan superfan.

Thanks for the shits and giggles 😁

Yes we will!

The timing of the “leak” just prior to the Oprah interview was very strange indeed.

The fact that it was leaked in the first place seemed highly convenient!

And Jason Knopf is now a trustee of Earthshot I believe and was given some personal award by the RF; so hardly unbiased!

All this talk of NDAs without any acknowledgment that the RF itself is a closed shop!

The Royal Family themselves often insist on very strict NDAs according to the Business Insider.

And when the periodical went on on the hunt for current employees of the royal family,

“it was difficult to find staff who weren't hesitant to speak up for fear of the palace’s tightly reined press machine.

And also no acknowledgment of their own issues about the way they treat staff?

What about the appalling wages and the chefs having to go on strike?

What about the recruitment agency that went on record saying it was a nightmare to find staff for them?

But no, we ignore all of that, and focus solely on what Meghan has supposedly done!

If she had done nothing they would have released the report right?

MyKingdomforaNewUsername · 09/03/2025 15:42

I'm intrigued by the NF deal. I assume H&M didn't get a $100m pay check but the $100m was for production costs and they would get an appearance/producer's fee?

As there's no advertising, how do NF judge if a series is successful? Is it ratings or whether people take out or keep subscriptions to watch it?

There'll be a lot of rage watchers for the first series, will they bother to watch a second? I watched a couple of episodes out of interest and found it dire so won't watch anymore.

MyKingdomforaNewUsername · 09/03/2025 15:44

And I wonder how Harry feels about Meghan's perceived success whilst his two docs bombed.

He gave up so much. Hopefully, living in the sunshine with his two children compensates for the loss of family, homeland and a role.

As for Meghan trying to overthrow the Monarchy that someone said 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

I find it very weird. You are so uncomfortable with a person expressing a different view to yours that we most be working for a PR company for M&H.

Refuting the lies that have been told about a person is not describing them as a Messiah. It is just presenting facts, something that some people apparently don't t care about.

It is very fascinating to me, that on a public forum the thought of a poor woman not being slandered 24/ 7 on this platform make you so uncomfortable that you have to rationalise it by saying that I am PR person.

Let me introduce myself without outing myself too much.

I live in the North of England. I am busy working mum who followed this whole saga pretty silently like many others did.
I have never commented and the reason why , I am doing it now is because I am at home with raging nausea as I am expecting my second child, so I have time😃

What can I say? Am I a fan - probably.

It has more to do with admiring people that live and succeed despite of.

No matter how uncomfortable it makes you, I am going to express my opinions about the show and try to respond with facts to the unhinged posts.

If that makes you uncomfortable there is nothing that I can do for you.

Tomatotater · 09/03/2025 15:48

I'm just watching it now ( after not being bothered to watch it before) and I'm a bit disappointed that if you put a corn cob in the microwave the corn doesn't all stick to the corn like a popcorn cob!
After thinking this is really not my bag, I might try the pasta (because she cooks like me- chuck everything in and hope for the best) and the bath salts 😁Its ironically a fluffy antidote to the rage fest of Mumsnet, which I feel I need to step away from!

I don't think he really cares. His whole life has been lived in the public eye and to his immense detriment. But he loves his wife and children and would do anything to make sure they are happy and protected. Sadly that has come at great cost bc you can't really 'escape' like that no matter what media narrative you try to spin - truth or lies - it's all immaterial.

BustingBaoBun · 09/03/2025 15:52

Are all those who aren't out and out detractors, paid PR people?

If so where's me dosh 🤣

uhhuhuhhuhuhuh · 09/03/2025 15:52

I think what is sad is that what they didn't perhaps foresee as young parents, is what harm they have done. You can't change your family. Nuking them doesn't help. If anything it has only added to more trauma where they are entirely isolated without roots, however much those roots have hurt them.

When you consider generational trauma, this is it. Scorching the ground, without real healing or acceptance. I feel sorry for them both. I really do. I really really hope they find a way to be happy ideally out of the public eye.

BustingBaoBun · 09/03/2025 15:54

I think they are. Happy that is. So no need to worry about them. Totally unnecessary.

skullbabe · 09/03/2025 15:57

DEI coup

Does anyone know what this means please?

MyKingdomforaNewUsername · 09/03/2025 15:57

I think they could have spent their lives going between California and England, having freedom and royal roles. But they wanted to monetize their royal connections.

So they went for a scorched earth policy and now have children they call prince and princess but who have no relationship with this king or the future king. It's very sad.
